Hi. Following a small bump I noticed the black plastic piece in the photo had been pushed inwards and out of its clip leaving a gap between it and the metal bodywork. I tried to pop it out again but need to get to the inside as something is stopping it from popping out. Does anyone know how I would access the space behind this ?

Many thanks, Andy

Hey Andy, below is a PDF on how to remove the front bumper cover. Not sure you would have to go that far as you might be able to just remove the tire, then follow the instructions to pull back the fender slash shield. Once that shield is out of the way, hopefully you can look in that corner to see what's going on with that black trim.

Probably get enough access into corner of bumper to resecure those loose parts without entirely removing bumper.

Look around the inside of wheel arch, the grey trim with the orange side reflectors fitted should be secured inside rim of wheel arch of wing by plastic clips with centre locking pins that need pulling out first, then pull the wheel arch trim with the reflector in it from the spring clips by pulling front to time directly out to the side and undo bolts under that corner of bumper to get into the wheel arch plastic insert shield and under shields .

That is why I posted the instructions to remove the bumper cover because the first couple of pages explain how to pull back the fender splash shield like you posted above to get in the area he is looking to do without removing the entire bumper cover.

Did you manage to get this resolved? Mine has the same issue. Wondering how much moulding I'm going to have to remove.

Hi. I haven't got round to it yet though need to do a couple of things so was going to have a look and this has reminded me ! I'm hoping I can do it without removing wheel so will update if I have a go.

It is a little awkward, but you can get at it without removing the wheel. Turn the wheel, remove the stone deflector, fender moulding & the two lower splash shield push pins. Then you can get your hand in behind the bumper.

If it is anything like mine, there are probably some broken clips. Best I could do was push it mostly back into position. Damn snowbanks

Thanks for this. I'll give it a try next week. I suspect I'll have the broken clips as well but at least will look better !
