Wow that’s some impressive mileage for such a young car!

Yeah. I am a heavy user for sure. That is why EVs make so much sense for me financially. This is the first vehicle that I have owned with this level of driver aid systems. I really did expect those systems to last a lot longer though. If I had known they were so fragile than I might not have selected the Premium trim and gone with the Select instead. My brother has a Select and he is super happy with it. Less stuff to break as well.

Live and learn. At least the base vehicle appears to be sound mechanically. All the core systems have been great and reliable so far. ?

Unfortunately my warranty has expired so I will just have to live with it.

Have you asked your dealership what the replacement would cost out of warranty? My invoice doesn't show the price as it was under warranty, so I unfortunately don't know.

No. I haven't checked into it. The fault is intermittent at the moment so I will wait to see if it fails completely. Hopefully it hangs in there until my Rivian is ready. Car still drives fine without it of course. Just without cruise control or collision avoidance assist. Most of my other cars don't have those features anyway so it shouldn't be too bad. Was nice to have while it lasted though....

On Friday my dealer will have had my car for a month. This is getting ridiculous. I don’t know how Ford is going to manage things with this level of service on their EVs.

Got her back!! Dealer replaced the ipmi module and did the windshield repair and did the 10k mile service. Washed her up nicely too. So far so good, everything looks to be in order.

Good luck. My issue appears to have resolved itself. No issues for the last week or so.

I am getting the front camera failure pretty much at every start up now. Unfortunately my warranty has expired so I will just have to live with it. I am not able to use Adaptive Cruise until 3 or 4 minutes into my drive. Then, if I hit a large enough bump while using ACC, it will cancel.

So, I presume my front camera hardware is failing. I expected more than 16 months of use out of that thing. I guess Ford went with low bid on that piece of hardware.

I was hoping they would build this EV as robust and durable as their Super Duty vehicles. Apparently my expectation was a bit too optimistic. This will definately be my last Ford vehicle (except for fleet of course...).

No extended warranty SMH? we are all still on 1st base. 29k Mileage so far. delivered March ‘21
