Ok I promised I would update in a few days after second visit to the dealer. I *think* the fix is taking because by now I would have had new repeat errors.

So just to recap, my dealer first had to fix updates that weren't taking; replacing the IPMA, rebuild the instrument cluster; then I took delivery and the problem repeated again. At second visit, the the dealer installed a NEW IPMA, and then reset the software in a specific order that Ford Engineering told them to follow (which was different from the original protocol they had been operating under). Finally, they also did a new FordPower update that came OTA in the meantime.

So far, so good. Will update if it doesn't stick.

Ok, spoke too soon. Going over a bumpy road today and it came back. Quickly went away--but seriously! How can it not be fixed after 2 dealer visits?
Bad software is bad software?
That is about the only thing I can think of at this point.

That’s interesting… I need to pay more attention to when it happens for me. NY has some crappy roads so that could be a common cause too

If that’s true.. it probably definerly is a software issue. Camera shakes and causes variation in some calculations or something and it thinks it’s a fault

Well that's it. After the "fix" at the dealer replacing the IPMB, and Front Camera Fault returning periodically, we are now stuck with the perma-fault again. It's actually worse now than before we had it "fixed".

Well, that did not last long. Look what popped up this morning.

OK so I think have to assume this is software related then...

Hi All,

I'm new here.

My Grabber Blue 2022 ER AWD is supposed to be delivered on 9/27. Build started 8/23. Has anyone had this issue with a 2022?

Yeah, same here. I’ve had this issue for the past 2 months. Was at the dealership for 1 month. Then, they said they fixed it came back the next day after I drove off with it. Now it’s permanent. I also believe it’s a software issue. I started to get this issue after an update (I don’t recall which one, sometime in June or May.) a little before my first visit to the dealership. I have had my car (21 Select w C/T package) since May 2021. Yeah it had a few bugs but nothing like this. The little stuff I can endure but not being able to use bluecruise or normal cruise control is really starting to bother me.

Dealership has been great to me but I think this one is a little out of their hands.

Right now I have a case with ford but I haven’t heard anything in two weeks.
I was excited about adding a F150 lightning to my garage but I’m truly thinking about it now. This experience and buying my Mach e have been really putting a dent on my expectations so far.

Every Friday I hop on these forums to see if anyone has figured it out but nothing yet. Or at least I haven’t come across a solution.

Wish the OP and me best of luck because ford has a real issue here.

You can use normal cruise control with the camera failure. Go into the Sync menu and enable Normal Cruise and that should work. Not ideal of course but at least CC will work.

I tried it before and it didn’t work on my car. Tried again today and nothing as well. So I guess yours works, which means I have two issues now.

Same here. I cannot activate cruise control with this fault, regardless of the "Normal" vs. "Adaptive" setting. Similarly, auto high-beam headlights, lane centering, and pre-collision do not work.

Had it happen from the car wash and cold dewy morning. wiped cam all good. thing to note the Front design is not so good as the water will rash down the side right over the front cam.

Agreed, normal cruise still does not work. I’ve been having the same issue since around the time of the contactor overheat recall update. It’s really annoying not even being able to use normal cruise, especially on long trips in areas I would regularly use blue cruise.

Interesting. I’m going to open up the hood and do a sanity check on fuse 33. It looks like it’s in charge of the ā€œAdvanced driver assistance system.ā€ I didn’t see one for normal cruise control. So I’d imagine all the driving assist features pass thru there. Unless our cars have different hardware that doesn’t permit it.
