Took in for fix a couple weeks ago, all good after testing on a drive to SoCal last week; no recurrences.

When buying car in 2021 the dealer "cut me a deal" on extended warranty (which I am loath to ever buy). Logic was he had no idea what the down-the-road-repairs would be, and knowing I drive a lot I would be out of warranty quickly (only took ~24 months), so I took it. Paid off big time for this as only paid the $100 deductible.

~55K miles so far, next week is another test :) from PHX to Vegas, Denver, Omaha, Kansas City, Dallas...and then home! The Blue Cruise makes these long drives MUCH easier!

Did the dealership tell you the total charge? Warranty works usually cheaper than retail repair bills. I have 8y 100k miles warranty and I could see that I will likely be saving thousands.

Fordpass shows it as $2282.89.

In the front lower middle of the car in between the plastic shutters there is a short stationary black infill piece that does not move (6" +/- long). That is the area the radar is behind. Clean it from bugs etc. and then if that doesn't fix it call the dealer. ?‍♂

Thanks. I'm just documenting the issue for my own self. This is the 2nd fault alert in 2 weeks. I washed the front of the car after the 1st time. I have already scheduled a service appointment with the dealer.

Still no recall @Ford Motor Company? Here’s my two cents. Happens to me a couple times a week. My dealer quoted $1,159 for the repair. I politely declined. Obviously, this is a recurring problem for many many owners. Seems like it might be a SAFETY issue. Where’s the recall?

I just had my second IPMA replaced. It was throwing an intermittent connectivity loss code pretty much every time it was driven, even though it was only throwing a dash warning on rare occasions. There was recently a parts hold on the IPMA module so my service advisor suspects there was an identified problem and a part revision but I'm not sure. I would assume that would be easy enough to verify with a new part number?

Part number they used was LJ8Z 19H405 K

As an aside...I'm not sure if it's related but both heading to the dealership for the repair, and coming back from it after the repair, I had cruise on and after hitting a rough bump in the road cruise cancelled itself both times.

Anyone else notice that symptom? related?

the fault is preventing engagement of cruise control. Even the normal mode. I disabled adaptive and still couldn’t engage it. So the blue cruuse subscription I extended is worthless.

Didn't see this thread until someone else pointed it out. Same intermittent issue for a few months has now turned into a persistent issue. Will be taking the car in within the next week or so o have this repaired. I'll update with my experiences afterwards.

I have had the error reported a few times. Each time it’s only been temporary and there are no related DTCs that CarScanner can report. ?‍♂?

I took my car in Tue and Wed evening they've told me parts are on order and should be in within 3 days. My wireless charger also stopped working so I am having that repaired as well. I don't use it much and as we all know it doesn't work that well but it's under warranty so worth getting fixed.

I have been getting the front camera fault sporadically over the last few months. I have been ignoring it since it’s been fixing itself within minutes. Today, it was borked for the entire rest of the drive. So now I guess I need to contact a dealer for service under the TSB. I was hoping to wait until I blow up the HVBJB again. ?‍♂?

Update - no errors in 65 days since I got the new coax. Glad this TSB finally came out, which seemed to take forever.
I mentioned the TSB to my local dealer when I brought it in for this issue in May. Was told they will check it out. After checking it out they tell me they are going to replace a module. I again mention the coaxial cable being replaced per TSB. They state the technician said the cable was inspected and looks good. Me, knowing many owners on here saying the issue wasn’t fully fixed until the cable was replaced, again insisted to replace the cable per TSB. I was ignored. Took them over a week to get part and give my car back “fixed”. Nearly half way home (10 min drive) the errors/camera fault returns. I’ll be taking it back within a week now that life has gotten less busy. And I don’t want to be the guy that acts like he “knows it all” because I don’t. I just want my vehicle fixed so I can have the safety and driving features available without regular error/interruption.

My car is still in the shop since 2 Jul having this fixed. I'm glad it turned from intermittent to persistent as that's probably easier to fix.
