I was driving my vehicle from San Diego to Joshua Tree and I hit a goat (of all things). It smashed the front grill and then there was a small leakage of a fluro green liquid.

I assume this is coolant. It seems to have stopped, but just after the crash it there did seem to be some additional heat coming out of the front (note it was. night so would have been a bit cooler).

Does anyone know what the leak could be and how serious? As mentioned I am needed to get from Joshua Tree back to San Diego and it is driving ok, but otherwise need to get it towed.

I have called several service departments at dealerships (including my own) but none want to put their ass on the line by giving me a view.

The coolant in the radiator is for the motor and electronics. If you can buy a gallon or two of Motorcraft coolant and check the reservoir regularly then you might be okay. The reservoir is under the passenger side cover. The one by the firewall is for the HVB and cabin so you don't need to mess with that one.

Make sure the system is cooled down before opening the cap on that reservoir.
