Yes, you can do this either inside the car or with the FordPass app.Is there a way to remotely open the front hood?
Enter your code, then the 7-8 button unlocks the frunk. There is also a way to do this from the keyless entry keypad on the drivers door frame. You enter your personal code (or the master code) and then follow that with one more button press (it'll be a 5-6 or the 7-8 or the 9-0 ... I just don't recall which extra button has to be pressed and it's not in the manual.)
Ford thanks you for proactively helping protect their shortcomings.Note that there was a rash of actuator failures a couple of months back. If I am in the car I use the mechanical release instead of the center screen button to reduce the number of cycles the actuator sees. ??
alternatively, do the opposite so you get a fresh one before the warranty is up!Note that there was a rash of actuator failures a couple of months back. If I am in the car I use the mechanical release instead of the center screen button to reduce the number of cycles the actuator sees. ??
Wot? Lets just hope that doesn’t happen. Especially to those who use their frunk all the time.Note that there was a rash of actuator failures a couple of months back.
