Hey all! We had our first measurable amount of rain here in the Midwest since I picked up my Mach-E at the end of June. I noticed when I have the wipers on that the passenger side wiper blade "sticks up" further on the glass than the drivers side wiper blade. See photos, attached. Is this normal? When I turn the wipers off it goes back to its lower "home" position. Just thought it was rather strange.

Thanks!

What you describe is pretty normal behavior for any car (not just Ford) that has "intermittent" wipers. There is an idle position, and then there is an off position.

This should only happen when you have them on "auto" or intermittent. And even on auto, it will eventually return to the home position if there's no rain detected for some amount of time. Totally normal. The driver's side one is raised from it's normal home position as well, just not as noticeable since it doesn't stick out on the side like that.

That’s normal when the wipers are active. If you shut the wipers off completely then they will go down to the park position. In the park position, the blade should line up with the alignment marks on the windshield.

That’s exactly how mine is too.

It will eventually go all the way down.

I was wondering what model dash cam that is and what mapping program you are using to display in satellite mode?

Hi Steve! That’s an Escort MAXcam 360c with a Blendmount mirror mount. Unfortunately, I have to return it and get a model without the built in dash cam as the IRR windshield in this vehicle severely degrades the oncoming radar signals.

As for the satellite view navigation, it’s just Google Maps set to satellite mode in the options.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the information. I wish Apple Maps would let us show the satellite view.
