Frunk hard to close

I use two fingers inn the striker latch, and just slam it shut with proper force. No fingermarks or dents in the hood.

As said earlier - adjust the stoppers.

I did this and my hood closes with out any fuss now. I hated pressing down on my wrap every time I needed to shut my hood

Not sure what’s harder to close on the first try:

The frunk

or

The tailgate

or

The charge port door

Maybe we need a poll. Or a video challenge to see how fast you can open and close all 3 in a row. At least it’s easy to drive!

Opened my NEW GT P for the first time yesterday at the dealership.
On advise form a video, I shut it carefully and put moderate pressure on it and it clicked into place. Please try this before you ever try slamming it.

The basketball method seems to work well for me now.

Don’t be afraid to slam it like you mean it. The air pressure keeps it from closing hard, and no matter how hard I swing down, it always closes with a nice whoosh. You’d expect it to crash hard, but it just closes. But the first time I tried to baby it, it was ridiculous. I couldn’t get that thing to shut once it was down no matter what. Had to pop the actuator handle again (before I discovered the remote App button) to release it and then slam the piss out of it. Woosh.

Drudging up this old thread as I have been trying to latch mine like I’m giving it CPR compressions. Even the slam method the car seems to laugh at me. I need to look at adjusting the latch it’s ridiculous.
