Frunk Opened with Door Code

I entered my door code today and my frunk opened. I've never had this happen before and wasn't able to replicate it. Is there some sort of secret thing I did that makes this happen, or was this just a random glitch? Has this happened to anyone else?

After you entered your code, did you nick the 7 button? The 7 button opens the frunk after you enter the door code. If your code ends on a 7, you might have accidentally double-pressed it which would have had that effect.

I think its enter code + 7/8 button. Didn't try it myself yet

That’s correct. Press the 7/8 button after your code and it opens the frunk.

Whoa, yet another thing I missed in the manual. And here I thought when this happened to me, it was a FordPass bug.

My dad has a bronco and had this same problem for ages. Complained that using his code would d sometimes randomly pop the rear glass on the hatch. Same reason, he was accidentally double hitting his final digit of the code.

Tried the 7 and it works thanks! I did not enable paak so will not have on the app but that is fine.

Job 1 cars without PowerUp 6.7 are cable only. Job 1 cars with 6.7 plus are cable or the door code plus 7/8 within 5 seconds or FordPass button (PAAK users only). All other cars can do the door code plus 7/8, double pull the lever, push the button in FordPass or use the sync screen button on the drive mode picture.

I've had issues with the reliability of the keypad opening the frunk. Came back to the car after shopping at Costco and wanted to open the frunk. Keypad worked to open the doors but wouldn't open the frunk, with either the personal or factory code. Worked earlier that day and has worked since, sometimes inconsistently.

Mystery solved Door code ended in 7-8. Double tapped some times apparently. This isn't in the manual that I could find.

In my 2024, pressing 3-4 flashes the hazards one time (why?), 5-6 does nothing (opens trunk for some?). 1-2 and 8-9 do nothing.
