Job 1 cars only have a manual release. it cannot be opened from the door keypad absent updating modules at the dealer, at your cost, and not all dealers will provide this service, paid or otherwise.

That is not accurate, my 21 AWD Select Job 1 with December 2022 build date has the infotainment release from day one I was able to use the door code and FordPass to open the frunk.

You have a 2021 MME built in December of 2022? That doesn't make sense. For the MME when people refer to "Job 1" they are referring to cars built before July 2021. If yours was manufactured after that it's not the Job 1 being referenced. I can confirm that my May 2021 CR1 has every quirk that people reference when they talk about "Job 1" cars.

No you don’t. Job 1 cars were built before early July 2021. None of them came with a remote Frunk release of any sort. The job 1 cars that do have a Frunk release in the sync screen either did the update themselves via FDRS or a dealer did it. Ford has not released any OTAs to bring it to job 1 cars. And they’re not going to.

It would’ve been released by now if they were going to do it at all. They’re more concerned about their $800 per year BlueCruise 1.2 than they are with a few cars from 2 years ago. The job 1 Frunk OTA was worked on and apparently ready, or close to ready, to be released. Ford actively chose not to release it. I’ll be very surprised if an update becomes available through a CSP.

I bought the key too. Programmed it and no luck. Job 1 is super screwed smh

I think I would know my car by now and what was there since day one. I like how you telling me what I experience with my car.. just like my car came with blue cruse day one as well. but if you want to believe I have a reason to lie to people I don't know have at it King. hell I don't even know what the heck FDSR is.
