I'm in the middle of the learning curve and would love some help!
A. I'm confused about the terminology used on the menus, specifically Connectivity and the relationships between the car's apps, my phone's apps, and how CarPlay affects things.
1) Are all FordPass Connected Services things that we would pay for ongoing, like Alexa? If not, how can I tell if I'd need to pay for it (apart from waiting for a bill)?
2) Under "Connectivity", there is an option to turn on Bluetooth. What would I use Bluetooth for apart from my phone's Bluetooth? If I turn that on, will I have to pay for it? (I wouldn't think so, but it's related to #1)
3) What about the option to "Use Mobile Apps on the System"? Which apps is it referring to? I'm already using the car's apps, and my phone's apps through CarPlay. Aren't they all mobile apps being used on the system?
B. I turned on my wake word, disappointed that I couldn't choose my own, but also disappointed in the limited scope of things that good-ole "Ford" would do for me. It won't bring up a screen of the menu for me, it won't even "set" the radio to a specific station unless I say "tune" and specify "FM." It does respond sometimes that it's "learning." Any suggestions on how to help it "learn"? (I'm a teacher, but I don't think that's going to help me here!)
C. Speaking of the radio, how do I change the presets?
D. Anyone have thoughts about the Security Settings relative to how much info to share with Ford?
Thanks in Advance!
