Everyday I drive to work using the same route - 15.6 miles. I track the performance and get between 3.2 and 3.7 m/kwh - varies with what mode I set, traffic and how I chose to accelerate etc. But this morning I got 7.1 m/kwh! But the reported mileage was 29.7, not the usual 15.6. I just crossed 1100 miles on the odometer this morning.

Anyone encounter this glitch?

I checked with my Service Manager and he can find nothing about this. Interestingly, this morning the trip calculator states my normal route is 32.2 miles / 4.4 kwh consumption / 7.3 m/kwh. The odometer shows 15.6 miles travelled. I also notice this happens at least once a week - bottom line is that SOMETIMES it accurately reports I get around 3.5 m/kwh.

As an engineer, it is curious to me, but not serious as my projected range on the GOM is consistently calculated at 3.25 m/kwh. ?

Happens to everyone. It’s adding your trips together. While the app will do that the actual car does it correct the app sometimes adds your previous trip to you next trip and calculates kWh all whacky. Just look at kWh used and if you know how many miles your traveled you can driving by kWh.

To state it simply car calculates the overall kWh correct but the app just messes it up.

I prefer to believe that I’m actually getting 99.9 miles/kWh. Because. ;)

My concern was that the error in distance was based on incorrect distance tracking based on a faulty odometer reading. The odometer is consistent, so mileage based service indicators shouldn't be triggered incorrectly.

What I have noticed is the mileage for the My Trip does not always reset although the time and kWh per mile do. If you turn your accessories on and then start the car it will always reset to 0. I noticed yesterday that there may have been some change to My Trip so I will see if maybe the bug has been fixed. I really do not monitor it that much and never look at Ford Pass but my guess is the false My Trip mileage was fed to Ford Pass. I did verify that this does not affect the odometer and the Trip 1 and Trip 2 mileage.

Yes, the historized trips show the incorrect distance.

Welcome to the world of Ford software glitches, mine has been doing this as long as I have owned it (over a year now). You will likely also get the "lost GPS" glitch as well, that will screw up your home charging settings and cause BlueCruise to not engage.

Thanks - I've gotten the GPS signal loss a few times. I also have my charging set to 90%, but have gone beyond to 95% a few times on its own.
