My wife does mostly local driving, but from July 16th 2022 through today she has put 8.4 gallons of gas in her Lincoln Corsair PHEV (aka Ford Escape PHEV). There's something to be said for getting 130 MPG.

Yep. We've had my wife's RAV4 Prime for about 18 months, and we've put gas in it twice. A hybrid without a plug just isn't the same.

I think that qualifies for the tax credit, but I think they can't be found.
My wife ordered her Corsair in May 22 and got the car in July 22. It's made at the same plant as the escape, so the backlog could be less than you think. Of course they might prioritize the more expensive car, but it's worth a look.
