I'm in my car now (parked don't worry). If you launch Google Maps via Android Auto and tap the settings cog, there is nowhere in the options to select you have a NACS adapter that I see. It is not under route options.

I too was recently prompted to indicate whether or not I have a NACS adapter just as maps opened. But I cannot, via the in car app, change that setting. Only in the app on my phone.

Dumbest thing that you have to be navigating.

Also dumb is that you can't put a route on GoogleMaps on your phone, connect in the car, and have preconditioning happen, since all the chargers show as destinations, not chargers.

I agree. Why is it not simply a setting to be adjusted? Well, it's not like I'll have a ton of use for this anyway, charging at home nearly all of the time. Still intuitive software (or lack thereof) is a definite peeve of mine.

You have to be navigating while in the car. From the box in the bottom left (with ETA etc) click the round circle.

Then you should see the attached, choose the left filter button, then in the next pop up (no photo) you can choose the plugs, which leads to the other photo you can toggle NACS

Can you share the picture of the "round circle" that you click to get to that menu? I have a 2024 and my Android Auto does routing, but does not select any Tesla chargers that would be very much more convenient. My MAPs is set up with the adaptors, but I have not been able to find the option within Android Auto to make NACS available for routing.
