I have had my Mach-E for three weeks now. Tonight we went to a fast casual restaurant and parked outside. When we returned to the car after eating someone had spilled or thrown dipping sauce on the right rear quarter panel of the car. It was too high up to have splashed there if someone accidentally dropped the sauce on the ground. And there was no parking allowed next to the car where the sauce was deposited so it was unikey that someone spilled it as they walked by. My wife is concerned that there are some anti-EV/anti-Mach-E folks around and worries about driving the car now. Has anyone else run into a similar situation of disdain or benign vandalism?

If it's something that washes off, be relieved and let it go.
Without camera footage or eye witnesses, this thread can offer no more than conjecture.

But of course there's anti-EV folks in the world.
There's anti-Mustang Mach-E folks in the world.
There's anti-nice shiny new car folks in the world.
There's....... Well, you get the idea.

Enjoy your Mach-E
Don't let them steal your joy. :)

Glad it's nothing serious. Something like a Sentry mode might help you and authorities to ID the douchebags.

Speaking about that; my family reported that when they parked close to my car on an occasion, the car flashed its light as a sort of warning. I was not close by so it was not me doing it. Are there some sort of sentry / early warning mechanism in our car?

I've seen my MME lights flash at 2 am, 4 am, etc on my security camera. No one is around. Maybe it's uploading my activity to Ford's Star Chamber. o_O:)

Maybe the theft system does that in Europe, but in USA spec vehicles they do not respond to anything unless the alarm is fully triggered.

Lights coming on are most likely false welcome lighting activations when Bluetooth from your phone randomly connects.

these are the same types of people that key or otherwise vandailze a car. In my three years of mach e ownership, I've had nothing but positive experiences with people regarding the car.

No, we usually have the opposite happen. People ask about the car, how we like it, mileage, would we buy it again. So sorry someone has no respect for the property of others. You might ask the restaurant if they have a camera on the parking lot.

Enough jerks in the world. Had someone egg my ICE Mustang GT. It left fine scratches so be thankful. Good to know dipping sauce is not as bad. If you were in the car they probably wouldn’t have the stones to do it. All I have had are compliments and I am in Michigan. Enjoy your ride!

No. Just comments that it’s not a real Mustang.
Same. At least so far. It's kind of amazing how free some people can be with their unsolicited and unwanted opinions. But I'll take that over vandalizing the car.

Probably a mishap of some sort. If he had bad intentions, a scratch from a screw driver or a car key would have been more to the point. Worry more about door dings on a parking lot.
In my two+ years of ownership I had nothing but compliments lobbied at me.
The last one last week from a pretty scary looking guy on banged up van that stopped right next to me, opened his window and ask me “is that a race car?”, I said “it’s a Mustang electric “, he replied “Cool!” and went on his way.
