Americans by our nature do not like mandates.

The infrastructure is nowhere near capable of handling EV’s for the masses.

what has been built so far as far as charging stations by the government? I think like 7.
That's a pretty general statement. We are awash in mandates. There are plenty to like and plenty to dislike.

Go check out social media comments on any EV article or advertisement if you want a general idea.

And when I filled up with gasoline I never once gave it a second thought as to whether or not someone might approach me for an argument or a fight over the fact that I was filling up with gasoline.
The naysayers always scream the loudest. Volume does not equal numbers.

The forums ARE my "social media"

Admittedly a hopeless addict of a few.

But I have no credentials or account access to any official social media platforms. I think I'm supposed to be happy about that even though my own children and grandchildren see it as a senior flaw. Lol

Yup. So this happened recently at the New York Autoshow.

Dumping Oil on F150 Lightning

I am glad it wasn't on the MME. I'm not sure what are these folks protesting on?
- Environmentalist getting upset at more gasoline trucks.... did they know not know the Lightning that they oiled is an EV? They just dumped liters of oil all over.
- Anti-EV buying engine oil to dump on an EV?

It's just bizarre.
Perfect example of a loud minority trying to be mistaken for a majority.

That will give you one side of the story. For the other side, look at all the examples of radical climate activism and eco terrorism.

These guys, for example:

Nobody should be screwing with anyone's property. But again, I've never been approached or felt threatened or concerned owning an ICE. The same is not true since I've owned an EV.

I'm concerned with the real threat. Trying to minimize it with the "both sides" type of argument isn't helpful.

I have had my Mach-E for three weeks now. Tonight we went to a fast casual restaurant and parked outside. When we returned to the car after eating someone had spilled or thrown dipping sauce on the right rear quarter panel of the car. It was too high up to have splashed there if someone accidentally dropped the sauce on the ground. And there was no parking allowed next to the car where the sauce was deposited so it was unikey that someone spilled it as they walked by. My wife is concerned that there are some anti-EV/anti-Mach-E folks around and worries about driving the car now. Has anyone else run into a similar situation of disdain or benign vandalism?
I had a woman the other day in a Mustang convertible park across from me at a restaurant. She got out and walked between the cars on the way into the restaurant. I was sitting in the car and saw her look down at the front end. She came around to my window and said you put a mustang emblem on your car. I told her it was a Mustang Mach e GT and showed her the interior, and frunk and told her it was all electric. She looked all over it and said that’s not a Mustang but it’s going to be my next Mustang when I am ready to trade mine in.

Every once in a while I get a comment like "that isn't a mustang" (but then I point to the pony on the mag wheels) or negative feed back about EVs in general. But I get much more positive feedback about my car in general. It was probably a stupid kid, I would not worry about it.

I've seen my MME lights flash at 2 am, 4 am, etc on my security camera. No one is around. Maybe it's uploading my activity to Ford's Star Chamber. o_O:)
…or uploading to the mother ship…

More likely a stupid adult, I think.

In the 3 plus years I've had one incident where I was pulling into a restaurant and a mustang coupe was pulling out, and the driver shouted at me that my vehicle was a disgrace.

Luckily that's the only negative interaction I've had other than some general conversations I've had with people parroting back "what they heard on the news".

Wow I thought such animosity about the Mustang brand was in the early days. That people overtime has simmered down and appreciate the MME as a vision of the future of this storied sub-brand.

I wonder the Miata folks go around stopping every Mazda built Fiat 124 telling the drivers it's a Miata not a Fiat.

About an hour ago I stopped at HEB (Texas grocer) with two of my grand babies. We had the windows down and they were singing at the top of their lungs to some song called Believer.
We parked and I waited until the song was over and rolled up the windows and got out.
I had already hit the frunk release button on Sync so that I could put my backpack up when we went in to the store.
As I lifted the hood, I noticed a lady sitting in her Suburban was watching the rukus we were making. She then watched me drop the backpack into "the engine compartment" and close the hood.

It was all more than she could take. ?

She said out her window "yawll are having way more fun than everyone else. And did you just hide a backpack under the hood?"

That led to her getting out of her vehicle, me reopening the frunk, explaining these are 2 of my 9 grandchildren, and.......

There is plenty of anti-EV sentiment. I don't deny it. But lots of folks only know what those around them have said. Somebody's wife is going home today and telling her husband that she loved the EV she saw today and that it looked like FUN!

She ain't wrong. :)

I'm going to draw a distinction between the planned actions of an international protest group and those of random strangers who choose to beak off on the street, thanks.
