You can probably get a free one on here from a member. I've seen many boast how they took it off day one and just have it in storage somewhere.

You can probably get a free one on here from a member. I've seen many boast how they took it off day one and just have it in storage somewhere.

Like Steve’s, my ‘24 didn’t have the interior protection package and came with the cover installed in the liftgate.

My ‘24 came with one also. No interior protection package.

I was told the same thing by my dealer. I personally think it might have been a typo or some mistake on Ford’s part listing it in the IPP.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but with some new users it might be a good time to remind owners that there are two positions for the load floor shelf. The upper position is supported by a couple of rather fragile plastic ledges. Some drivers have reported breaking them off by carrying too heavy a load with the floor in the upper position. If you move the floor to the lower position you also gain an inch or two of extra space.

If it was a typo, it wouldn’t make sense why the IPP increased to $495 (and now $550) when the all weather mats and cargo floor liner can still be purchased form Ford directly for like $265.

And that in a nutshell is why I skipped the IPP and bought my upgraded mats separately through their accessory store rather than as an add-in on the purchase.

For what it is worth, we didn't purchase the IPP, but they did include the privacy cover. And in fact, in our case our dealer did install it before turning the car over to us.

Agree with you on that however if you know of or can find a ‘24 or ‘25 Mach-E that didn’t come with one, let me know. Why Ford includes them with every car, checked with general managers at two dealerships who told me this (Sonora Ford and Serramonte Ford) but then includes them with the IPP, I don’t understand.

I just checked out 2 2025 MME Premiums. One had the IPP and already had the cover installed and the other was without the IPP and didn't have it. I happened to look under the load floor of the second one as the sticker didn't list the Mobile Power Cord either; there was no cover nor MPC. A small sample size to be sure, but it may have been moved to the IPP to help "justify" the price hike...

I had a VW Golf hatchback a number of years back and it had a 'lid' for lack of a better term in that cargo area that would lift up with the hatchback, hooking to the sides of the main body on small pegs and to the hatchback liftgate with small string loops.

I just noticed similar attachment points on my 2025 MME, but in looking through Ford's website for accessories and such I can't anything to connect to them anywhere. Is there anything for this or are these just wasted/unused details on the MME?

I have found the connection poits are very fragile, both on the car and on the cover. Two of them have partially broken on mine so I have had to stop using the cover.

My '23 Select did not come with it. Apparently it's not included for Select's but is standard on Premiums and above. It's not available as an accessory, but the parts counter can order it. I was picking up my car and doing the final paperwork late on a Sunday so they ballparked the cost at $200 Canadian. Found out later it's actual list price is $595 Canadian...

Oddly enough the mobile charger if spec'd with the car is a $650 factory option, or available from the parts counter for $495.
