I think the tires can make big a difference too. As I've aged I've liked a cushier ride in my cars, so one of my criteria when picking out the trim was 18" wheels. In '22 that limited me to a Select or a Route 1. Ultimately I ordered the Route 1. My only regret is I'd have liked to have the B & O sound system but I'll survive I guess.

I've ridden in the back of my car and the ride to my mind was fine. Certainly a lot nicer back there than my previous '05 GT or '14 coupe. Plus, my head doesn't keep hitting the roof which is a plus. In both of those cars the back seat was close to useless for adults in my opinion.

I'd agree with the others who've suggested installing cushier shocks back there if you'll be riding in the back with any regularity. Probably cheaper and cosmetically better than a set of 18" wheels and matching tires but that'd likely fix it too.

No. Looking back, I don't believe I've ever ridden as a passenger in the back in any of the cars I've owned.

My husband had to drive me home after a night out. Have you ever ridden in the back seat of a Mustang Mach-E? I love this car, but it's terrible back there. I can feel every horrendous bump and lump on the road, and the horrid sudden accelerations. I don't have motion sickness, but sitting on the back seat easily made me queasy, and it's definitely not related to the couple beers that I had. Yeah, the passenger experience is terrible.
Terrible. My first time back there was two weeks ago for an agonizing hour and a half. I’m glad that I don’t have to do this too often. Very uncomfortable.

I wonder is the experience the same with a GT or a GTPE...
I went from a premium to a GT-P and my kids said the ride improved greatly!

Eibachs. I havn't had a complaint since. And we have some terrible roads here.

Big part of the problem sounds like it was your husband driving your car. Drive mode and 'pedal training'. Unless he usually drives on/off vs rolling in and out of the go pedal. My friend drove me back from Vegas in my RX. I wasn't even in the back seat and wanted to punch him. His foot had zero control because he usually drove an Avalon. His on/off at 80+mph was just, bad. If you get driven home again I'd force him to whisper. And like I mentioned, the springs, though pricey, really helps tame the car.

I drove three 16 year old girls 2 hours away for a soccer game. Not one complaint. And given there were three of them, there was ample opportunity to complain, two of them commented how awesome the sun roof is.
It was either eyes out the roof or on phones. My kid couldn't take the phone in the back seat before the springs. Now she can watch an ipad strapped to the back seat without issue.

No issues here. May. It have the best support but leg room is adequate

What springs did you install, and what was the cost?
I got the Eibach lift springs.

+1.5" all around and better ground clearance.

Larger number of coils helps with the bounciness and tames it.

And the anti roll sway bars from Eibach helped the stability on turns, curves and power into turns.

Under $1000 DIY.

It’s not even a matter of using cushier shocks. They just need to have enough rebound damping to control the springs. I don’t know why so many automakers put poorly damped shocks on what are supposed to be sporty cars, but it seems to be a standard industry practice.

I've seen that sticker a few times now. However, no image allows me to fully see what it says.
What is that sticker for? Thanks

Yep. It’s not cushier shocks needed. It’s shocks that are stiffer on rebound (extension). They’re too soft for the springs in order to correctly control rebound mocement. ??

Are you talking about the California High Occupancy (HOV) Lane decal? I didn’t install Mine because they changed the HOV lanes around here into Express Toll lanes. The stickers are useless where I travel. ??
