Have you got your Ford Connected Charge Station?

We got our MME at the end of March. At that time we were told by the salesperson it'd be a few weeks before the charger arrived. Well, here we are at the middle of June and we still don't have it. I've contacted the dealership and Ford Parts and both say it's on backorder. Now with the connector changing, not sure what is going to happen. Just curious if others are in the same boat or if someone has any information.

If you read the announcement closely, it did not say that J-1772 would be dropped from Ford EV models, only that NACS would be added. It should be feasible from a design and cost standpoint to add another charge port to future models, in a different location. The Chinese spec MME has a separate DCFC port near the rear on the drivers side.

At any rate, since you already have your vehicle, *your* charge connector will not be changing.

Do you need the Ford Connected Charge Station? See if you can cancel the backorder, and research on these forums for home charging recommendations. The YouTube channel "State of Charge" is pretty comprehensive too.

Ordered mine on Monday when they were in stock - still showing "Fulfillment Status: Unfulfilled" on my account. Today they are saying it is not in stock. Wondering if I should just pick up a charge point charger on Amazon and see which one arrives faster. We have to hardwire ours in Austin and our installer wont schedule until we have the charger in our possession.

The Chinese spec MME has a separate DCFC port near the rear on the drivers side.

I think their DCFC port is in the same location as ours and the port towards the rear of the vehicle is the inlet for AC charging.

I do agree, though, that Ford may choose to provide dual charge ports in some number of vehicles during their transitional changeover to NACS.

I guess the lesson is trust the shipment promise on the Ford page? Now I'm trying to figure out which one to return ?.

Our CP has been fine-no problems for the 6 months we've had it.
