Old thread but the Y pack isn't 84 kWh. You can see the stats in the screen shot attached. This is pulled from the CAN bus data.

Official EPA estimates have been posted, and from those It appears to have a useable capacity 88 kWh. EPA range is 315 miles and efficiency is 28 kWh/100 miles, or 3.57 m/kWh. Do the math and you get 88. So how much bigger than that do you think the battery is?
Are you talking about the Model Y battery? I think it is currently 75Kwh and gets 326 miles range on AWD. The Model 3 for 2021 has the 82Kwh battery and get 353 miles range.

Y has the same battery pack as the Model 3. Out of Spec Motoring's range test estimates came back with 74kWh usable pack size and 270wh/mi at 70mph.

The 74kWh number is correct for 2020 Model Y, it's on the build sheet sticker on the car.

Newer Model Ys (built on or after April 2021) now have an 82kWh pack, switched to the newer battery chemistry first rolled out on 2020 Model 3.
