How Do I Remove A Dead Bug From Near The Lane Keeping Camera?

I found a large dead bug behind the windshield in the area near the lane centering camera. Does anybody know how to remove it? For that matter, does anybody know how it got there? ?‍?

The plastic panel can be removed by hand. Just grab it and pull it down. There are just clips, no screws. To access the small triangle camera compartment there is a small plastic cover underneath that is probably already partially loose which on my car at least was just fasteners with a small amount of sicky glue. I have removed it completely to reduce the amount of condensation inside, but it should just stick back on

The compartment is not sealed as it is made for air to flow through

Well, it got the little critter out. It was indeed a trap, poor little guy. I could only see one way for him to have gotten in there. He must have been smaller and the grew?

I popped off the cover but I didn’t want to mess with the entire camera assembly. So, I used a Shop Vac on the entrance hole and the bug got close enough to it for me to use a small bent awl to pull him out of the hole. I gave him a proper burial.

Pure curiosity... Did you see the bug in the camera view on the screen? Error message? Or did you just see it from the outside?
