How does X plan pricing work?

I qualify for the x-plan through work and I’ve never used any plan to purchase before. I’m looking to buy a GTPE and wondering how the x-plan works and if it’s worth it? Is it based on MSRP or invoice? I also read somewhere they doc fees are ‘capped’ or not even allowed to be charged. Is that accurate?

Finally, does anyone know what the invoice price is on a 23 GTPE? The couple dealers I’ve spoken to aren’t willing to share that. I’ve been trying to get info online but couldnt find consistent info.

MSRP is invoice on the Mach E, so the answer to your question is “yes.” ?

And yes, doc fees are capped.

You need to get a voucher from https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerweb/vehicles/pricing.do when you're ready to purchase.

Ask the dealer if they honor x-plan pricing for the Mach-E. If yes, ask them to show you the x-plan price. It's calculated by Ford. X-plan also ensures that the dealer doc fee is capped at $100. In some states it's often much higher, so this is another nice feature of x-plan. Read the full terms at the above web site.

The dealer can still add on aftermarket type things like window tinting or "swamp protection package" (since you're in Georgia, over here they sell a stupid Desert Protection Package ??). Be prepared to negotiate those away, if you don't want the extras.

I made a spreadsheet to help understand vehicle pricing and financing, although I'm sure it's a few years out of date by now. For example, Ford Options is no longer offered. If you're really good with Excel, then you might find it handy anyway. I have the x-plan pricing calculations embedded in there but again, I've no idea if Ford's changed them after 2021.
