quick question - for my zip code the Incentives part shows $2500 - does it mean that if I finance via Ford Finance (after being approved), I am getting $2500 off my price?
If that is the incentive I’m thinking of it’s a rebate off of your agreed upon cash selling price and only available if you do a Ford Options contract via Ford Credit. It should be described as Ford Options bonus cash.

if you open the details there's a footnote that says the $2500 only applies to options not regular financing, and it expires jan 4th. hopefully they renew the discount

That is exactly what I am looking at: for incentives it says "... requires Ford Credit Financing or lease contract"... Nothing about options.

Your area could be different, but mine calls the incentive "Ford Options Retail Bonus Cash", which IS from Ford Credit. Also, if you go to the Mach E page and begin the "order" process there is a calculator in the upper right. That lets you select options or traditional financing. If I select options and click "calculate payment" the dialog that pops up showing the details has $2500 cash back, but for financing it does not.

Here's the detail I see:

I got to that by clicking the model name:

It's still not totally clear. I guess I will wait until the current incentives expire on 01/04/2021 and then will ask my dealer when new x-plan numbers appear.

Just hypothesizing but perhaps since the FE is a Premium with the FE option package, the FE X-plan will be the Premium cost + the FE option cost? That will be a little higher than it used to be when the FE was listed, but not much.
I think you are right that the FE is a Premium with the FE Package. Using the www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker, the information pulled back on my FE order says it is a Premium.

With a FE Package.

And yeah, I am still waiting for a build date.

I emailed the Ford team and they clarified that the FE qualifies for X-plan:
" All series are eligible for AZ/D/X at this time, there are no exclusions on 21MY Mach-E as of now. First Edition is technically a restricted package on top of the Premium Series, and Premium Series is eligible for AZ/D/X. "

Thank you. That's what they replied to me last week too but without being as precise. Sounds like they've been getting multiple people asking and have realized they need to explain this more clearly.

So could I use X-plan to reduce my payments on a lease/options rather than an outright purchase?

The X plan is a discount independent of how you pay. So yes it will lower payments compared to not having the X plan.

When do we use the x plan? Is it when we sign the purchase agreement? I have reserved the MME GT performance trim? When do we sign the purchase agreement? Is it when the car is ordered or is it when it is delivered? When should I become a member of Mustang Club of America? Should I register now? Or should I wait to take advantage of membership benefits such as C Plan?

Performance edition is just a package on top of the GT.
BTW, that's an old image of the X-plan information. It also varies with location so you want to check it for your zip code.

You use it when you buy the car but you have to be a stock holder for 6 months or an MCA member for 60 days. So, if you plan to use MCA for the X-plan you should join now so you are set when in comes.
