You can't be serious. The Mach-E supply is severely constrained; any that weren't customer orders are selling within a day or two of hitting the dealerships, most apparently with dealer markup. There is no equivalency with Leaf sales whatsoever.

Tesla is already seeing a decline in marketshare, but still leading in the BEV's sold. There is a huge jump in EV sales of all types this year.

In a market that is growing by 95%, not sure that an 8% reduction in market share represents a drop in volume.
Now it is certain that the cake will be shared with more guests and that in a certain time the market stabilizes at the level of all the manufacturers with an increasing or decreasing volume depending on the attractiveness and the price of the models. Some will win, others will not ...

I think the ioniq 5&6 will sell very well - depending on how serious hyundai is about making enough of them. Ford obviously underestimated the demand for the Mach E, but I suspect that they will address that in 2022. Agree that the ID.4 is in a different class, but I am not sure it matters since they'll still sell plenty of them. I'm not sure how well the Bolt EUV will do and as usual GM is targeting the higher luxury price category so they won't be a threat for a while as the lyriq and hummer will sell in modest quantities. Stellantis' US brands are a joke in the EV space but they will certainly sell plenty of european brands there, and VW group absolutely has a strong foothold in europe also. In china the plethora of chinese manufacturers will own the market there and will likely gain a strong foothold in europe during this decade.

Based on the events of the last several decades I honestly think that china will absolutely dominate the EV space beyond 2030, to the point that ALL of the traditional manufacturers will be scrambling for market share.

Yes ... China is the big elephant: all these unknown brands got huge EV assembly plants: BYD, SAIC, NIO, xPeng, Geely, etc... Yotong right now is the world's largest not only bus but electric bus maker. The proliferation of electric propulsion vehicles/buses/bicycles in large high density urban centers is truly astounding, I saw with my own eye in the city of Guangzhou "public safety officers" confiscating and publicly smashing gas propelled motorcycles/moped/scooters ... from my understanding these large cities have enacted gas free zones within their city centers for motor bikes/mopeds/scooters.
