How long to receive registration and license plates?

How long does it take to receive new standard issue, new car, DMV license plates -- California. Years ago it took 10 days. I am now waiting almost a month since dealer submitted paperwork end of Dec.

No lie I refuse to go back to the dealer that I got the car from. Also they wouldn't refund the deposit I put down on the mach e I ordered before the one I have now, I had to get my credit union involved which is some advice I got from a guy in a Facebook group.

We got our plates pretty fast last March. We purchased the Mach-E on 02/12/21 and had the plates in mid-March.

Our personalized plates on the other hand will take 6-9 months! Damn! Ordered in mid-October, 2021 so we won't see them until at least next month...

It was actually $50 and yes we had to pay. At the time I had no idea it was going to take so long but since it's done we'll just wait...
