No, I don't think there is anything to do about it. The car already has a VIN I assume so it is in line to be produced and the dealer will have it to sell when it is delivered to the dealership. If it doesn't have a VIN I think the order can be canceled but you would need to talk to your dealer about that. I am in the same situation as my car has a VIN and still shows in the Order web site as accepted and it will be scheduled in the next available build week (whenever that is); it's the same status and message that's been there for months..
Never got a VIN! Over two months since ordering and nothing, so I canceled and reserved a dealer-ordered MME.

So if that's the case I would assume your dealer can cancel your order but again, you need to talk to him. I'm surprised he didn't already ask you about this as you reserved a dealer ordered car.

Ford did not "give" me my VIN. I had to have the dealer get it for me from the Visibility Report.

The good news is that cars with March order dates are now getting assigned build dates. Some April orders have build dates but that may be because of their configurations or location. Folks ordering now may have to wait until 2022.

I have canceled my order with the dealer, too, and got my deposit back. But the order is still "live" on Ford.com. Do I need to do anything about that?
Don't worry about it. The dealer is probably thrilled to have your car coming to them and may ask for $5-10K over MSRP when it arrives.

I ordered a prem, rwd, std range on March 20 and the dealer says my build week is June 21st. Although I don't see that on any of the Ford tracking sites.
How do you track??? Don’t you need a partial vin??

I ordered a premium Mach e AWD, star white with black interior with the extended range battery. Every time I check with the dealership, they tell me that they do not know when the car will come. I have not recieved an email or a vin or anything else giving me any kind of indication when I might get my car. Anyone else out there waiting?

Thank everybody for your responses. I called the dealer and the gentleman looked on the visibility report and informed me that all of the parts are there everything looks good and we’re just waiting on a Vin number to be assigned. He said he thought it would be done by Thursday but he’s going to check the visibility report every day and call me as soon as he sees a Vin number. I’ll keep you updated

My wife and I waited 9 months for each of our kids. I'm still looking forward to hitting retirement and last month it took a week to see my doctor.

All in good time - especially with the fire in the chip plant in Japan, Texas Instruments getting whacked last winter and God knows what else screwing with the supply chain.

The auto industry is looking at a $110 Billion shortfall because of all this. If they could get you a car 3 months faster, they would.

I ordered on 5/3. ....maybe Dec or January.

In the meantime, if anyone cancels a Grey Metallic or Red, Premium, AWD, ER in NC or SC and it was ordered before 5/3, let me know. I'll gladly take your place in line.

Just wanted to update you all. I went to the dealership today and still there is no vin or idea of when the car will be built. I was told that since tomorrow is June 1, they will check again and let me know on Friday. The space white one that is identical to the one I ordered however does have a Vin number and the gentleman said he would call me the second it came in so I can go look at it.......

My understanding is extended range vehicles are in high demand with ER/AWD requiring the longest lead time. My salesperson contacted me and said if I dropped ER I’d get my car at least a month earlier. Honestly, I would just plan for 6 months between order and delivery. Took 3 months to get my build week and VIN.
