How often do you reset your GOM

I've never reset it, I don't see any reason to do so.

I reset it when I got home from the dealer when I bought it new 4 years ago. I haven’t reset it since, because why?

That is a new owner thing, after you've had the car a few months you learn to stop caring about the displayed range figure because it's just a guess and changes constantly.

The only time I look at the range is if I'm trying to decide if I'm going to make it to the next charger or not, and by how many miles.

So like most owners, I've never reset it.

I am confused. I have had the car for 7 months and I have done the run it down to under 5% then to 100% twice. I thought that reset the GOM as well as condition the battery. My GOM is reasonably accurate, more accurate the longer the trip. Are we talking about the trip meter reset?

I believe he's taking about the driving history reset function in vehicle settings. That resets everything to EPA efficiency instead of using the actual consumption from your car. It's like resetting the MPG meter in an ICE vehicle.

That procedure resets what the car's BMS thinks the raw capacity of the battery is. Your driving history is what the car uses to determine the range you will get based on the battery's capacity. The trip meter is not the driving history.

Thanks for the clarification. I wouldn’t do that unless something or someone operated the vehicle in an unusual manner and screwed it up.

Im in the never category as well. Had my car coming up on 4 years. Do see a need to. You don’t magically get more range by resetting it.
