I feel like a complete idiot, but I can’t figure out how to open the fuse box under the glove box. The owners manual literally just has a photo of it with an arrow, and I couldn’t find any YouTube videos with that particular fuse box. Do I just pull? Do I have to remove the panel that’s just above it? If anyone can point me to instructions or a video, would be much appreciated.

The 24 manual has this. But I guess that not a picture of the fuse box.

Thanks much everyone, got it opened, and removed the fuse, which allowed me to finally get Paak working for the first time! I don’t even necessarily want to use it instead of bringing the key, it was just driving me crazy that it wouldn’t work.

Don't feel bad, I couldn't figure it out either. I was pulling so hard I was concerned I would damage it, so I stopped trying. I still don't understand exactly how to do it... even the comments here aren't clear to me. :/

There are two panels. The one on the bottom is where the fuses are. Just above that, there is another panel under the glove box. If you look up, you’ll see two circles with a square in the middle. You get a small flat screwdriver and pry the little square and then pull on it. Then, you use the screwdriver to pry the circle and then pull on that. Once those two tabs come out, then the top panel should just drop down (might have to pull gently). Then, for the lower panel, you just put your hand behind it and pull gently. There are tabs holding that in, but they will come loose with pressure.

Hope this helps!

I hope that you still remember :)
Is it below the glove box, or it needs to be removed first to get access to the fuse box?

Is the white square plastic thing the one that covers the fuses and needs to be removed?

No. Look up at the FRONT of that top panel. You will see 2 fasteners. Using a screwdriver, pull the middle section of each out, then the panel comes down.

The white thing is the footwell light. Do not attempt to remove that. On the edge of the privacy panel that is farthest from the firewall (closest to the glove box hinge) there are two plastic reusable rivets. Pull the center pin out of the plastic rivets and remove them. The edge of the panel closest to the glove box hinge can then be lowered away from the bottom of the dash and then you can slide its feet from their mooring points. 😁🐩
