I ordered a Premium ER AWD on 04/30/21. It was scheduled for production on 11/22, then pushed back several times and supposedly "built" on 12/10. But like so many others, it stayed in that mysterious "built" state for weeks and weeks, with the delivery date repeatedly pushed back, finally to 2/4.

In early January I was poking around a local dealer site and found the same exact car on the lot...with $5,000 ADM of course. Well, I received a nice little end of year bonus that I guess was burning a hole in my pocket, so after much debate with myself I went ahead and purchased it. At that time, having a car now vs. having a car someday was worth the extra expense to me.
Welcome to the Madison, Wisconsin Mach-E Club! I got mine one year ago (Feb 9) and have been loving it! You made a great choice. What color did you get and from which dealer? I got mine from Middleton Ford and have been delighted with them. I hope you enjoy the AWD in the snow as much as I do. I look forward to seeing you someday at one of the Madison EV events.

Sometimes I think about the 5 grand I "wasted" and hate myself for it, but you know what? As soon as I get in the car I forget all about that! I'm absolutely loving it. And the dealer has refunded my deposit, so at least there's that.

I just checked the tracker for my original order this morning. Delivery has been pushed back to 4/12 -- almost one year after I ordered!! Kudos to those of you who are able to hold out. I just couldn't anymore. I can pretty confidently say you'll love the car whenever it arrives.
When you were debating with yourself I am thinking the no side never had a chance. Congrats enjoy.

Don't blame you at all. I did the same thing, but it was more in line with not knowing how the new EV Bill was going and the new bill could have disqualified my build for the 2022 Tax Cred, with it exceeding $55k. So I bit the bullet to buy mine before 2022. Of course the bill got scrapped so it's a moot point now.

Adm for mine was $7k, cuz dealer bs about extended bat version fetching higher price, etc, but it didn't matter since all dealers around me that actually had a Premium 4X available had similar Adms. Only fortunate thing for me was I was able to talk up my trade-in for an extra $3k, so overall I just paid $4k adm.

Yes, it stings paying the Adm, knowing many others got theirs for mfg, but also no regrets when driving!

Congrats I do like my MME a lot, the dealership experience now at 2 different ones is frustrating and just about ridiculous to actually expect anything to be addressed in 1 trip. I poked around new car options and it is just hard to find a luxury car like the MME at this price point. Luckily the only issue I have is this recall so I'm just ignoring it as the dealerships have no idea to order parts before making appointments then saying we aren't sure when parts will be in and they will call me.

I don't blame you at all! I am definitely an I want it NOW type of person. I had an order in for a Tesla Y and was so annoyed with it being pushed out and pushed out that I started researching and found the Mach-e. I test drove it (had never driven the Y) and fell head over heals in love with it. Then I shopped around for an MSRP price on the one I wanted and bought it about 3 weeks after I started looking. I love my car and would have been very annoyed to wait just as long for the Mach-e as I was already waiting for the Y. So glad I switched and got her right away.

I had windshield recall done last week at Shults Ford in Wexford, PA without a hitch. I also had $10k service done at same time and tech updates were completed. Cost $20 total for tire rotations.

How long did the recall replacement take? My dealer is quoting 6-12 days. Thanks

Good for you, and I don't blame you. While no one wants to pay ADM, there is a cost to *not* having a car (headache, temporary rentals, lost hours due to having to take mass transit, gas savings if coming from ICE, etc). If the latter cost is more than the former cost, then it's worth it to pay ADM. Unfortunately, we are in a lopsided supply and demand economy, and ADM is a reality and a consideration.

My neighbors and I each ordered premium rwd, extended range—same car except paint color—and dealer also ordered another one for someone else the same day, July 7th. I got mine last week (love, love it!). The other two are in Lala land. My neighbor’s current delivery date is the end of April.

On Wisconsin! Great town. Miss it, but not Wisconsin weather. Bought my current 2011 Explorer from Kayser on the Beltline.

I guess this is going around, as I did the same. Found one with a different color than what I ordered. But it’s here, is a 21 with the lift gate sensor and acoustic glass, and is otherwise identical to the 22 that is still a twinkle in Ford’s eye.

Plus I secretly wanted to order orange anyway ?

I just took my 17 year old Grandson to the Honda dealer and he ordered a 2022 Honda Si. Because he is 17 I had to order the car and I will take the loan (he'll repay me each month with the payment) and it will be titled in my name. They were very upfront about charging a $2k ADM fee which we paid. It isn't just Ford. It's a seller's market out there. They had ONE Civic in stock that was promised to somebody else (and it wasn't the Si model he wanted anyway). Their new car inventory was a joke (they had almost nothing) and the prices for their used cars were ridiculous! They were more than a new car for some models.

I scheduled appointment 2 weeks out. I dropped car off at 8am and was done by 3 pm same day. They gave me loaner ice vehicle for day-yuck. Ford set expectation that it would take 2 days but they got it done in 1: under promise, over deliver.
