I really wish the Mach E had a “Sentry Mode”

Spelunking YouTube today and came across a couple recent and relevant videos.

Vortex is going over the cheaper versions of the more typical dashcam batteries, still not that cheap though. He mentions in passing the existence of cheaper alternatives that may be worth exploring.



Project Farm reviews some low/mid cameras here. Those not familiar with his channel; his reviews are very to the point, not a lot of useless chatter. He does great work.

i didn't watch the video but i just use those battery packs made to recharge your cell phone and it's fine...

So the Tesla dudes just get a nice video of people vandalizing their car that they can show to their insurance company while filling a claim?

I get that it seems cool but it’s not stopping anyone from vandalizing a vehicle and unless it’s your neighbor, the police aren’t going to catch the person.

Well my friend has a Tesla that was keyed, Sentry mode recorded what happen.....it was his co-worker. May not stop it but leads to someone being responsible for the damage.
