Dang, I can't imagine the conditions you were driving in where defrosting wouldn't melt all the ice.

About 15ĀŗF and snowing with 25+ MPH wind gusts. Poor visibility with blowing snow at times. Probably too much windchill for it to keep up. The windshield defrost and rear glass did a good job melting all the snow with a 20 minute remote start though.

The mercury is on its way down to -25ĀŗF tomorrow night, the high on Friday will only be about -10ĀŗF. The wind chill will be -45ĀŗF. I might set my departure time to extra hot on Friday since the heat might not keep up.

Ope, then there's this:

I’m curious. What’s your ER range at -10?

I have never heard of an exploding tree watch before and am amazed that's a real thing.

So I usually get 1.8 mi/kWh at those temps, and depending how cold the battery is, the 100% range might be as low as 120 miles (120-150 typically). Which is still plenty for my daily needs. But if you are taking a trip you'd have to change about every 100 miles or less.
