I'm in Arizona and my screen reads 130 degrees when it's actually 112 and throws my car into panic mode and my fans are blasting loud and it's telling me to plug in when not in use because it's so hot outside.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

You should really plug in when it's over about 105ºF. Battery doesn't like temps much above that. It will read high after sitting in the sun, you need to drive it for a couple minutes above 20 mph before it will update the air temp.

I got home from work (12 miles) and it said it was 130 degrees outside. Not when I first start it up.

Can I just throw a question in the new feature on the car?

Interesting. If you got front PPF, make sure they cut the hole open around the temp sensor above the grille shutters. Common install error with front PPF on the Mach-E.

Another factor is the temp 16" above the pavement is going to be sometimes 10-15º hotter than the temp measured at the standard weather station height of 78". So the air flowing over the sensor could actually be that hot. That is also the temp of the air flowing over the battery, hence the warning about plugging in when it reads 113ºF or higher.
