MyKey is not the same as assigning a profile to a key. Are you sure you set a MyKey? Pressing the LKA button on the steering wheel doesn't remove the lines from the sides of the car image? Can you post a pic?

I have tried over and over again. 100% cannot remove it without mykey being present. On my key 2 that doesn't have a profile then it is not present. As I said I had multiple emails with the Ford helpdesk and they said this is the issue.

MyKey is a feature designed for young adult children, limiting top speeds and loudest radio volumes and the like. All of my Ford vehicles since 2006 have had this feature.

That manual page indicates that it also prevents turning off certain driver assist functions.

It's a completely optional feature. You can use an "admin key" (one of your other, non-MyKeys) to remove the "MyKey" status from your other key.

“MyKey” is a total misnomer. It is intended for valets and younger drivers hat you don’t want speeding or blasting the stereo. Whomever at Ford came up with that name needs to be placed in a small, dark place with small, hungry carnivores present. ??

Hi all, this is my first post. I am about to buy my 2nd Mach-e (premium x range) and the one at the dealership is brand new, just built and there is something new... and I am wondering if anyone has heard rumblings of Ford changing the layout of the instrument cluster or if it is a glitch. It is software version 23151.

As you can see, the speedometer in this vehicle is permanently on the right, the way it would have been if you had activated the Lane Centering. There is a way for me to turn lane centering on and off, but the little car stays there and the speedometer is on the right. No settings or anything to change it to the middle now. I have asked the dealership and they think this is just how the new software is.

So, is it a glitch or is this rolling out? Thank you all for the input!

Is there any way to actually talk to ANYONE at Ford - through twitter or phone or anything - who would know? I know my dealership is trying to help but they really have no clue. In my case, I am not sure working with MyKey setting will help because they have factory default the settings a few time... unless it has to do with how the fob is programmed? Anyhow, I really appreciate everyone chiming in here a I feel like I am learning... just wish THEY knew the answers!

They really put a lot of effort into these animations. Shame that most people including myself won’t get to see them since we like to have the safety features on. Would like to see them enable it while safety features are working.

Holy crap... that guy scared the hell out of me driving in that weather, changing modes while driving (should you do that??) and recording while driving...WTF? I'm exhausted from waiting for the crash!

A MyKey fob is configured uniquely to lock-in certain driver parameters, so a car MR would not change anything. I can see the attraction for a dealership to use MyKey for demos (ie, top speed limit) but they should educate their sales staff and mark the fob accordingly and never sell a car with one fob programmed as a MyKey, as it seems has happened judging by some replies in this thread.

Why would you have your own key set as a MyKey? (I know it’s a stupid name)

If Lane Keep Assist was enabled, there’d be lines on both sides of the car in the instrument cluster.
