Then you can change your order to a Select with the tech package and change the rims and tire for 19 " and you'll have pretty much what you want.;)
Almost, except Select interior choices are limited compared to Premium.

Never understood the current trend ford have of putting in driver side grab handles, only way going to tell how well shaded the glass roof is would be for someone to post a picture of the temperature inside the cabin after having been sat outside all day baking under the sun.

I like the aesthetics of the glass roof and with the batteries weighting as much as a small car from the 80's it is not going to have much impact on the center of gravity, however if it turns the interior into an oven when parked during the summer months aesthetics are going to be the last thing on my mind.

From Ford’s website:

Glass Roof
The benefits of this available Panoramic Fixed Glass roof go beyond its expansive view. Special coating is designed to help the interior stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter with a Low-E on the roof and Infra-red Reflective coating on the windshield.

We like the grab handles. The ones we really loved though were on our 2001 Escapes. They had an additional one on each A-pillar. Used that one all the time getting in/out. Unfortunately they eliminated it from 2002-on.

Right with you, we liked those too - we had an older Escape Hybrid until it got totaled when my daughter was rear-ended on the highway. I often grab the driver OS handle when driving to rest my arm and stretch. I'm probably showing my age.

I think at some point hot AF is hot AF. If the car is left outside all day in a hot area it's going to get hot inside regardless of any sort of insulation, etc. I think the tint etc slows the warmup, not prevents it.

I tinted my C-Max's skyscraper sized windshield because I could tell a difference while driving into the sun. I don't think it helps a lot being parked outside for 9 hours w/o any sort of covering. I could be wrong I have a thermometer now I could test it with but I'm not going to peel the tint off to compare.

From what I've read though, these IR coated glasses have way less conductive heat than a metal roof. Of course metal doesn't really have radiant heat like glass, but good tints and coatings can reduce it. 3m's crystalline tint has a 97% infrared rejection.

Same here. We tinted the windshields on our '13 C-Max and our '17 FFE. Also added a dark strip across the top as a header piece. That REALLY helps out here in AZ.....

The a pillar ones I can under stand for making it easier to get in and out, the upper ones well I suppose they can help at big foot ride heights, other wise I find it odd that they driver would need to hang on when cornering, maybe this this will become the norm when everything is self driving and we are no longer allowed to drive.

It would be nice to see some test results, some work colleges have model 3 and that gets very hot, they all seek shelter in the tree shaded parking spots. Both my focus st & rs are black with black interiors so I am used to the toasty interiors when getting in when parked up for the day (rs is better with the dinamica), side bolsters still get just as toasty.

It would be a shame to have to resort to keeping a shade in the roof, makes having the glass a bit pointless, most manufactures end up offering one so I hope the coasting is good enough that it is only need for a few months of the year and I won't have to join the find a some tree shade parking spot club

Agree, more data would be nice.

If the MME has some sort of overheat protection, maybe its somewhat a moot point.

I do know my friend's Model 3 seats get hotter than mine. His is a light color and mine are black leather. I assume its due to the faux leather material Tesla uses but don't really know.

Some interior photos from Jan Schroll, Infotainment & Driver Information Manager in Germany.

These pictures are a bit puzzling. The poster says they are recent, but the temperature reads 46 degrees outside which seems a little cool for right now, and in Fahrenheit rather than Celsius. Also, some stitching is white, some red. So surely a cobbled together prototype?

Also, the radio station 98.8 may be found in Berlin/Brandenburg or maybe in Saxony. His profile says he's in Cologne which is quite far from there, but maybe he was visiting, or maybe it's just a test display.
