Mustang MachE Select
Hey guys,
I've just taken delivery of my 2025 Mach-E select.
I'm getting this error quite a bit... seemingly in certain geographic areas. I'm wondering if it's a problem with map/speed limit data.
On some drives, I don't get the error at all.
I'm booked in for service, but any thoughts on other ways I could try to fix the issue?
Ford Mustang Mach-E Intermittent error: "Adaptive Cruise Control Predictive Speed Assist not available." Cruise control error

Keen to hear from anyone else who has experienced this error, and what the fix was.
Thanks everyone!

All. The. F***ing. Time.

Dealer replaced HVBJB and some coaxial cables under warranty. Still happening. Ford doesn't have a clue as to what's causing it. Mostly likely buggy software that they'll never fix.

I got mine in December 2021. Cruise control would go off suddenly every so often. About a month ago, it just plain quit working. It said adaptive cruise control not available and front camera fault.

I took it to the Ford dealer. I got told it needed a $1,400 software update. After the software update does not fix it she said they would fix or replace the cables. From what I have read, then I would be told the camera needs to be replaced.

The thing is, the front camera still works. It shows a wall, or a car or the end of my garage.

I am not going to take it in to the dealership for an open ended repair. I would like to know how software goes bad, unless for messed it up with one of their updates.

I used to get that on my 21 sporadically but it always seemed to reset once I turned car off before my next trip. I would definitely take back to dealer and use the warranty. Also, consider extended warranty unless you already have it. It saved me $6,500 on 2 repairs after 50k miles.

If the vehicle is connected to the Ford app, message me the VIN and I will pull the codes to see if I see anything helpful.

The surround view camera is just below the front lip of the hood while the camera used for blue cruise is between the windshield glass and the center mirror.

I understand your frustration completely. The costs for diagnostics and repairs that may-or-may-not fix symptoms are insanely high.

Try running with A/C on.

I find the screen inside of camera cover musts when the visible area is clear and a few mins of A/C dries when normal service is resumed.

I get this from time to time. Its the sort of thing that a specialized regional repair shop should be doing. There is no way an even large local dealership can have the expertise to diagnose or fix things like this. One almost thinks of initiating a class action lawsuit forcing Ford to provide adequate diagnostics.

I am getting another adaptive cruise error but can’t seem to catch what the exact description is. Funny thing is I rarely use adaptive or any kind of cruise. And the description doesn’t seem to match anything I’m doing at the time (like driving slowly through an alley). I have a 2024 GT.

I get adaptive cruise faults regularly, especially after hitting s bump. Sometimes it will reset, other times it doesn't for quite a while. I also get a collision warning system error at times. Had it in to the dealer they reset the IPMA, charged me $200, tripped again on my way home. I called the dealership, there is a TSB for this, now suggesting replacing coax cable between camera and IPMA. I am 3000 miles beyond warranty so the repair cost is over $2000. They say this will probably fix the issue. Does that sound crazy? Has anyone been through this and have any advice.

It could just be a loose connection. Coax may not need replacement. I can get you the diagram if you want to check it yourself.

If you have specific areas to check I would appreciate it if you could send them my way. I have checked the coax at the camera and made sure that it is secure in the bracket also.
Thanks.

Attached is how you get to the IPMA camera and how to remove the panel to access the IPMA in the trunk.
