My wife and I are planning a cross Canada trip next summer, to save some costs I have a little trailer that I rebuilt so I am going to convert into a tiny camper. I have made a few practice pulls to the recycling depot and the Mach-e handles it very nicely. We have done a couple long distant trips in the Mach-e and have learned the does and don'ts of charging on the road. Last road trip watched a guy with a new Lightning pull up to a Tesla charger (we were at a Flo which are slow) and was quite envious, he had bought his own charger, I am still waiting for mine, originally, July, then Aug, now November so hopefully by July next year should have it.

I require supplemental oxygen 24 hrs/day, I have a portable unit on batteries/12v charger to use while driving, but at night I require a larger unit which draws max 350 watts. I was looking at generators but they are loud to run while sleeing. Before I got the Mach-e I had a Grand Cherokee with an 800 watt inverter which worked well but had an ICE/alternator powering it.

My question is in 2 parts:

1. If I park at a site without power could the ev battery power an inverter like I had and how much draw would it take. I would always plan to charge up shortly before stopping for the evening. The energy on the side of the machine = 120V - 60 Hz 3.4A

2. If I park a power site does the Ford mobile charger work on an RV 240 50 amp services? This would solve question #1.

I imagine a good quality inverter could absolutely power your oxygen machine. However, since it would drain the AGM battery rather quickly, you'd need to leave the Mach-E running.

There are several threads about wiring up an inverter to the 12V battery. Find @dtbaker61's threads.

A 350 watt power draw is easily supported by the car.
You would need to leave the Mustang in "on" mode, which is fine--it doesn't hurt the vehicle, but it does require remembering to toggle the "auto off" setting.

You could also consider a supplemental battery/power station with a couple kWh of capacity, which would handle that system with ease.

the unit draws 350watts or so, and the MME 'idle' consumption when 'on' is 200-250watts which any heating/cooling running. so lets say aproximately 500watts for 10 hours overnight = 5 kWhr = less than 10% of your MME battery capacity.

2. If I park a power site does the Ford mobile charger work on an RV 240 50 amp services? This would solve question #1.
yes, most RV parks use standard NEMA 14-50r outlets, which match a mobile charge. If you already have one, bring it! If you don't, just get a cheap one like the Vevor (<$200), and make sure the current limit is dialed down to 32amps.

If you want to use your MME 12v export to power V2L up to 1500watts, I would suggest:

1. install heavy cables and good connection to 12v like this:

2. get a decent quality pure-sine 12vDC->120vAC inverter, and I'd suggest a 3000w rated one to enable use of appliances up to 1800 watts like electric teapot, induction cooktop, etc

Thank you for the information - ran into an interesting delveopment a couple weeks ago while waiting for the wife at Walmart. Was cold out so I left it "started" to keep my dog and I warm. After an hour it would have shut itself down automatically if I hadn't seen the warning and pushed the start button, I am not sure if there is an option to keep it running all the time so if I was to be sleeping and it turned itself off I would wake up to a series of issues.

look under settings->vehicle, and toggle off the "auto-off" setting. The vehicle will then stay "on".

Thank you, my wife keeps telling me to call Ford, and I reply "that is a waste of time the sales people don't know nearly as much as the people on here".
