I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and it works just fine with my Mach-E and iOS 15.

Apple had a CarPlay bug in ios15. There is an unnumbered update ios15 that seems to have fixed the issue. Delete old phone from car and paak on the app and start over after restarting updated iPhone. All good here.Understandable, but In my case they are the same. I have a 13pro max that didnāt work before I updated to iOS 15 and still doesnāt work after. Same for my wifeās 13 pro. My 11 on iOS 14 worked fine. I do fortunately have PaaK and it works great now. However, my Bluetooth connection is constantly fighting with the WiFi connection and I think that is what is preventing me from using CarPlay. I canāt even plug it in and use it. This is very frustrating. I did a master Reset and it didnāt help. Excited to take my car in for warranty because CarPlay is not working.
How did you get to the unnumbered update? When I go to software update in settings it shows my phone as being up to date. Is there a trick to getting another update outside of what I have already?Apple had a CarPlay bug in ios15. There is an unnumbered update ios15 that seems to have fixed the issue. If it says ur up to date u prob already updated. It comes with ios15 and prompts u to upgrade to ios15.How did you get to the unnumbered update? When I go to software update in settings it shows my phone as being up to date. Is there a trick to getting another update outside of what I have already?
Ok, thanks for the info. I'll keep messing around with it in hopes that it just magically starts to work.If it says ur up to date u prob already updated. It comes with ios15 and prompts u to upgrade to ios15.
Thanks, found it. It's Software version 15.0. I have read that turning off the EQ is a work around to fix the connection issues but otherwise 15.1 is allegedly going to correct the issue. It appears there are plenty of other folks having the same issue in different make/model vehicles.Tap on Software Version under Settings General About to see the detailed iOS build on your iPhone.
Right, but tap on āSofteare Versionā. Youāll see a more detailed version than just 15.0 ?Thanks, found it. It's Software version 15.0. Anyone have a problem connecting with the new iPhone 13 pro? I tried to set it up and got a "device not supported" warning on FordPass. The phone actually did finally connect as a key after repeated attempts, but it it does not work as good as my old iPhone 11 and the Bluetooth and apple car play disconnect repeatedly.
This is my wife's phone and she is now using the FOB as a key. I have the 13 Pro max on the way and I use PAK all the time with my 11 so I am hoping this is not a real problem. Just curious if maybe its just me, or the car needing an update.
That's bizarre, as they shipped with 15.0 Release Candidate. I had to update to the iOS 15 final build; that might be what you saw.I have no idea, but I had to update to iOS 15 on both my wife's pro and my pro max.
Thanks for that info. I am going to give that a try tomorrow. I have been able to connect to CarPlay by manually connecting to the cars wifi.. But on a positive note PaaK is working great. Hoping for good things tomorrow. Thanks again. That's bizarre, as they shipped with 15.0 Release Candidate. I had to update to the iOS 15 final build; that might be what you saw.
I can tell you my 13 Pro Max works perfectly in the MME. What I ended-up doing was erasing all PAAK keys, going into the connectivity settings and wiping out all Ford Connectivity, and removing the phone entirely from the phone list. Then I restored the Ford Connectivity settings, reset the WiFi, and then added the 13 Pro as a brand new phone/first time PAAK routine. Everything works great, and the 13 Pro Max even stays charging on the charging pad unlike my 12 Pro. Good luck!
