iPhone 14 - Bluetooth Range too good?

I've noticed since getting the new iPhone 14 Pro Max, that it takes 50 or more feet for Walk Away Lock to activate, compared to the 20'ish feet on my previous iPhone 11 Pro... I've since deleted and reactivated PaaK twice (following all the steps posted here) and same issue... Also at the 50+ feet my phone's Bluetooth is still connected to the ### MACH E device in the menu... Could this be something @Ford Motor Company (FordPass app) needs to be optimized for since iPhone 14 uses a new Bluetooth radio?

Not sure if this is because of the updates. I don't have an iPhone (Galaxy S20) but PAAK seems to do a lot better on 3.5.3.3 and I've also started to question the auto lock.

This probably is addressed in updated Sync Versions; I'm at whatever 2.?? release that "fixes" the HVBJB .

Interesting, that’s a downside to using signal strength rather than time of flight for determining distance.

Does the car unlock further away when someone presses the button? Have someone press the button while you approach with the phone. It wouldn’t be good if the car unlocks with your phone in the house.

Different phones will perform differently with PAAK depending on their signal characteristics.

Honestly I have not noticed this with my 14 pro max. Seems to operate the same as before.
