I can’t find a clear answer on this - is Lucid Dream Drive Pro the equivalent of BlueCruise Hands-Free? Whenever I see a YouTube video reviewing it, they describe it as “hands-off”, yet the reviewer is touching the steering wheel periodically (perhaps every 30 seconds to 1 minute). I’m wondering if Lucid’s Dream Drive Pro has a mode where it operates like our BlueCruise Hands Free or GM’s Supercruise? I use BCHF all the time and find it a great feature (so, I’m sure Ford will be decontenting it for MY26 or later
).
I haven’t driven a Lucid yet, but I’ve checked them out at the dealership and I’m very impressed. I’m assuming Ford will abandon the pure EV market to focus on various versions of hybrids (PHEV, series HV, etc.) and trying to figure out what my options are going to be. So far, Lucid seems to be the only one that ticks my boxes:
- Very peppy “off the line” acceleration (0-60 at 4 or less)
- Apple CarPlay
- Usable frunk volume (able to hold a standard sized roll-aboard)
- Hands-free driving experience (with either driver initiated or automatic lane changes).
- Small enough to fit in my garage (overall length of 192-ish or less).
- Heated and ventilated (I’d sacrifice ventilated if I was getting a Mustang Mach-E GT, but I’d whine about it a lot
) front seats
