Much more worried about the longevity of the 3.5 ecoboost in my F-150 than the longevity of the HVB in my Mach-E’s.
You should be, I just spent $8,500 on new turbos, water pump, headers and a few other items on a 10 year old 3.5 ecoboost. Our V8s in our fleet are flawless. Didn't stop me from buying a new 3.5 ecoboost this year but I'm hoping they made improvements....

Aye, don’t forget about all that garbage technology they used on ICEs more recently that always fail thinking about dual mass flywheels, DPFs, wet timing belts?

Nice I sold my 2013 Leaf in 2020, 85k miles, charged daily from 3% to 100%, and I had only lost one bar also. That experience reassured me about battery life. And for those watching those had no thermal management.
That is probably due to the northern location of you and the previous poster. Those Leafs driven in the southwest had a lot more issues due to the air cooled batteries being cooked in our 100+ degree weather. Looking for a used Leaf in California netted tons and tons of Leafs (Leaves?) with severely reduced range.

2021 Job 2 with over 103k miles. I regularly charge to 80%. I DCFC when I need to and don't worry about it. I travel a lot with it, hence the miles. Last I checked it was at 97% SOH. I haven't check in a while and have never gone through the calibration procedure.

Other than an unfortunate incident where a chunk of truck tire took out the cooling louvers and condenser, I am only out of pocket for 2 sets of tires.

HVBJB replaced once due to failure early on and a second one due to the recall.

So...............I ain't ascared ;)
So youve been through 2 HVBJB?? How long did each take for them to receive and replace?

I remember when I first got my Mach E in April of 2021 one of the persistent topics on this forum was anxiety on how long the batteries would last. We were given warnings by members of this forum not to charge over 80% regularly and certainly don't charge to 100% regularly. The posters were confident in their advice. Dire things would happen.

In the ensuing years I ignored that advice and I have regularly charged my batteries to 90%, never lower, and at least once a week to 100% and have seen no appreciable reduction in range. My usage pattern is pretty predictable each week and the range I get is almost identical to what it was 4 years ago. I'm not saying that the batteries will last forever but I simply don't have any anxiety over their life.
I agree that no loss of range has occurred with my 2021 extended battery, which I usually charge overnite. However, my 12V battery just died & locked my out! Almost 47K miles since 3/12/21.

Battery longevity anxiety, not then, not now, not ever?

June ‘21 delivery now 115,000 miles up, c350 DCFC charges added to all those 11kW AC home charges, regularly charged to 100% sometimes 3 times per week otherwise it’s 95% a few times per week.

Never messed about with this “calibration” nonsense (only IMO)

HVB SoH is 93%.

My usage pattern is pretty unpredictable each week and the range I get is almost identical to what it was 4 years ago.

And before any smart arse asks “is that range you get or GOM rang?” it’s range I get or I would’ve said the range the GOM says id get?

I'm not saying that the battery will last forever but it WILL last forever ?
How do you find HVB SoH is 93%.

Battery anxiety was replaced with HVJB anxiety around March 2021 which was temporarily replaced with installed wrong battery anxiety in Fall 2021, updated with Frunk Button anxiety, quietly replaced with off center speedo anxiety, publicly replaced with OTA anxiety, supplemental update of Tesla adapter anxiety , quickly patched with another round of free Tesla adapters anxiety , replaced by Car-e-oke anxiety, replaced by BC 1.3 anxiety.

Damn it I knew I forgot something. And one should be aware there is several 12v anxieties to sort as well:
  • How long will my 12v last
  • How big of 12v can I get
  • What's my 12v SOC
  • How can i charge my 12v
  • Why do I need to replace it BEFORE 48 months (really ~40 months)
  • Why can't I just get to my 12v to jump start it
  • Why did my 12v fail
  • Why can't I open the doors!

The first one failed while dealer was test driving after a regular service, so not in my hands when it occurred. That was early on and took about 7-10 days to fix along with the diagnosis. The second was not a failure, just replaced do to the recall. Bit of a fiasco getting the service writer to understand the process but once that was sorted it was only a couple of days
