I know MME is not capable of 350kwh but at 21% I should be able to do better than 80kwh.

What was your precondition temp at time of starting the charge?
I wish Ford made it a visible datapoint in the car, but if you are 20 or 30 deg below ideal temp, then 80kw is all you should expect to get.

I don’t know what the temps are out there but a cold battery can’t handle too much. And by cold I mean anything under 80° F. I was driving at 20°F for the last couple days. When I let the battery get real low, it wouldn’t precondition on the way to the DCFC. 80 KW is pretty reasonable then for me. When I did use Ford Nav and plan to arrive at the DCFC with 30% still, I was able to pull 134 KW speed.
So many variables but I have to assume your battery was cold when you arrived.

Maybe it was a charger thing? Have you gotten better at other chargers in the same winter conditions? 45 is still cold for the battery. When you say you did precondition, just confirming that you used the Ford Navigation to navigate to the charger? Not Google maps or Apple Maps.

I did use the Ford Navigation and yesterday at another EA I got 112 and around 70% down to 70%. Maybe I’m just an old curmudgeon ??

Sounds like you did everything correct. Sometimes you just get a slower connection. Enjoy your warm weather.

We’re heading into a cold snap unfortunately with level 1 at home ($3k to wire) but I’ll make due. I love a good adventure

The one at Target? I just used it a couple months back and got about 92-107kw/avg. peaking a couple times to like 115-125kw. Was someone else using the other side? I was charging alone that time.

Yes that’s the one! Two others also charging but this was the 350 so I expect better performance at least 100. If I was a Rivian and only getting 90 I’d be a bit ticked off ?
