Issue Resolved — 24 GT: Performance Upgrade no longer offered

I bought a 24 GT on Dec 7th, 2024. Since day one, FordPass showed an option under Connected Services to add a Performance Upgrade for $995, which is the reason why I bought the car to begin with.

Today (30 days later), this option disappeared from my and my wife’s FordPass and online Ford account. Of course the upgrade has not been applied to the car (no banner on the in-vehicle screen).

Does anyone know of this issue or if this is something that can be fixed?

I had every intention to buy this upgrade, but had to delay the decision because my vehicle came with underbody damage that my dealer is working with Ford to resolve.

I called the helpline and they escalated my issue but said it’ll be several days (or weeks) before they can get an answer.

It completely disappeared… I was about to upgrade it too . They told you weeks to give an answer? Unbelievable classic ford garbage .

Just a wild guess, but maybe this is related to the same backend issues people have reported in signing up for BlueCruise.
The thing is, BC still shows as an option for me in Connected Services. The upgrade does not. It simply disappeared.

My guess is something happened with how they detect what cars are eligible for... and if it's not an active subscription, it's hosed

I just leased a GT in October. It did not come with the performance upgrade but I saw it in the available Connected Services in the Ford Pass app and did plan to budget for it and purchase it in the spring as it’s winter here in the Home of Rock ‘n’ Roll. I did notice that the performance upgrade recently disappeared from the Ford Pass app and just assumed they are not promoting it but that it would still be available for purchase directly from Ford or the dealer whenever I decided to pony up the bucks. It would be nice to know that (1) the performance upgrade will continue to be a one time purchase and (2) there is not some kind of time limit as to when you can add the option.

It will continue to be a one time purchase and there is no time limit to when you can make that purchase. The disappearance of the ability to purchase it is an issue and is being corrected

Hello all! I've been watching many threads on this forum for quite some time(thank you all for your contributions - they have helped me.) and have something to add to this discussion. Recently returned my leases 22 Mach E GT performance and leased a 24 Mach E GT without performance upgrade. Had the same scenario. What I did notice is that when I logged into the ford web site I still had the availability to add the performance upgrade through the web site. It was there. I have a ticket in with the Fordpass group.

This totally sounds like another of the back-end issues that’s plagued Ford for years. The issue with my email address pops up every now and again (my email is not all alphanumeric and perfectly legal according to W3C) when Ford does some back-end “upgrades.” Then they have to fix it again. It usually takes a week or two to change the code and publish. ?‍♂?
