Issues with Ford EV Charging Cables

Has anyone experienced issues with their provided Ford EV cables not charging on a 220-250V outlet? The electricity output through the outlet seems to be fine, but wondering if anyone has had to replace their cables. This is the first time I've attempted these cables at home, but I wouldn't put it past Ford giving me a dud cable at this point with all the other electric issues.

Appreciate the advice and insight here!

I’m guessing you mean connector as pigtail and the charging unit as the brick. Yes that has been done. Everything is secure.

It will make an audible click.

The charger should display lights before plugging in. Those lights tell you the issue, if any. Manual tells you this. Blue is ready to use (takes a minute to run through them). Amber is fault, read is error. Blue pulsing indicates it is charging vehicle. Any other combination when charging is explained in the manual.

Thank you. The issue is it shows full blue when plugged into the outlet. A quick red and then stuck on amber. There is not other light change from there.

I never intended on this for daily use, this is for occasional charging. The issue is there is no charge coming through at all. I’m afraid Ford has a lot of people brainwashed on here as apologists. Unfortunate seeing as I’ve always had Mustangs and still believe my business needs to be earned not a given.

Yes, thank you for sending the links. This is just odd as it’s the very first time using the cables. It’s the part of knowing whether it’s the outlet or the cables themselves. Ford is saying I have to bring the car and cables in for diagnostics. That is very inconvenient with a wife 40 weeks pregnant and they are quoting me 10/24 as the soonest I can get in

Have you charged with another 240 V charger?

Tried it on the 125 as well, no luck. Always goes straight to amber

Look on Plugshare app for a nearby L2 charger and try there. Ford mobile charger has reported many issues. Most common is that you really have to force the pigtail into the socket very hard until you feel a clunk. But many reports of real failure.
