Does anyone know if 1.3 has fewer approved roads for the new features compared to earlier versions? I've only had 1.3 for a few days now but I've noticed that the lane change feature seems to be completely non-existent on the Loop 202 but becomes available the second I merge onto the I10.

Also I'd like to ask how others feel about the improved lane centering. The 1.0 version has a right bias but the new version seems to have an extreme left bias for me. It hasn't left the lane, but it appears to really like being within 1-3 inches of the lane markings on the left.
I used it on Loop 202 yesterday (East Valley.) To me it looks like 1.3 is available on more stretches of highway not less.

As I posted earlier my '21 Select (with no BlueCruise hardware) install went fine and it seems good after driving a few days. The adaptive cruise and lane keeping seems to work the same. It is possible that this IPMA update includes other fixes than the BlueCruise update. Given that Ford likely chooses to put minimal info in the release note we will probably never know.
Yep. I was happy to read your earlier post. It was good to hear from another owner of a 2021 without 360 cameras. Thanks for that and for your response to my post.

I too assume the update would be fine and update my adaptive cruise control etc. I'm just less than sure its worth the 140min of small risk of OTA glitching now that I'm out of warranty. Since all is well on the highway with the current software. My Ford Options is over in less than a year, so maybe being cautious when outside of warranty is best. Still considering pressing install but leaning towards letting that update pass.

I have a 2021 and received the update also.
In the message it states that BC will not work on all models.
I havn't been on a highway yet, so I will have to wait to try it.
I thought there was a charge for BC, is this just a tryout?
I believe you would have to 1) Have the hardware for BC, and 2) Have an active BlueCruise subscription. My 2021 GT-PE didn’t have the hardware, so this would do zero for it. ?‍♂?

I guess my early 2022 is still considered a Job 1. In the last 2 weeks I received 4 updates. 1st one updated normally at 2am in the morning. 2nd one i manually started the install in the middle of the day. The 3rd update installed in the middle of the day and I was not notified. I went to the store and when I came out, the icons at the top of the screen changed. On number 4, the ME was charging overnight. When I got in the car in the morning, it said I had the BC1.3 waiting to be installed. I drove to where I needed to go. Then I started the install…in a parking garage…I know…gutsy or dumb!?! It said only 6 mins to install. When I came back, it was done and BC1.3 was active. I then got on the freeway and found out auto lane change is useless…at least around here. As soon as you signal to change a lane, the car in that lane will speed up to block you and the system cancels. OC/LA drivers are aggressive and jerks. I am sure as soon as I go on a road trip (next weekend) I am going to really enjoy the new features.

Now…where’s that karaoke app so that I can annoy my wife and daughter…

July 2021 Premium, just got new BC update. Very nice tweaks, shows on dash pushing car away as it passes a car. The turn signal lane switch is flawless (until it isn't). I am impressed with BC overall. 10 years from now 90% of cars will have some form of this, mandated by insurance companies. I have 28k miles, the only thing I would change is the suspension, but I just don't want to go through the hassle.

Finally Got it on my 21 Job 1 Premium a couple days ago. I want to give full Blue Cruise a try now, does anyone know if I choose the 1 month option, will I still get the option to renew the 1 or 3 year option later on? Thanks!

I don't know, I choose 3yr/$600 about 1.5 years ago. BC is great if you do quite a bit of Interstate driving. We don't have but one interstate highway in the panhandle of Florida. I use it on I-10 and it works very well. Call Ford Care they can tell you if option will be available.

I just got my BC 1.3 install yesterday and I tested it today. I love it. I have a 2021 that will be 4 years old April 1st. (Not a joke) I love my car. I bought the BC for $600 for 3 years but once it runs out, I cannot justify buying it again at a higher price. Please Ford and listen to us. 3 years for $600 is just right. I do not drive enough to justify paying more.

I have always gotten updates before but I am stuck on 10.1.1. Is there a number to call at Ford about OTAs?

Mine arrived this past week. Had a chance to use it yesterday on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and it worked as others stated: stays engaged almost continuously and does auto lane changes after flicking the turn signal stake.

Ford could easily offer a tiered structure, so as to not penalize light BC drivers. $200 for the first 10K hands-free BC miles each year, then $150 for the next 10K, $100 for the following 10K, and so on, in a given year. Assuming the driver allows Ford to track BC-driven miles.

Any leftover miles (beyond the first 10K) would carry over to future years. Or something along those lines would likely increase BC adoption.

BC 1.3 is still not installed. 5 days and a 12 V battery reset.

"We'll try again at your next install window." That was 4 days ago, and every day after.

At the end of this week it will be 15 months of the 3 year subscription gone. That means 15 months I can't get back.
