With the latest RFA update and an iPhone, PAAK is very reliable.
Agree, I've been using PAAK exclusively since I got the Mach E almost 3 years ago. In the early days, it would generally work after a few attempts but now it works solidly about 98% of the time, and when it doesn't work, you can use the backup password/door keycode to start it. Even when it wasn't reliable early on, I still didn't carry a fob because the convenience was worth the occasional hassle and the backup option is always available.

I am getting new updates almost ever other week which is nice, I think it was in the 6's that there were some PAAK fixes I hope would help.
Before my wife got a Tesla I assumed the technical aspect of dealing with all the different types of phones made PAAK hard to make reliable. Tesla has proved it is possible. I hope the Ford developers can dig into how they accomplish this. However, I have noticed Tesla has the same issue with the back pocket at times. Typically when walking up to the car to open just the truck do I have to turn around since my phone is in my back pocket. I am curious if its the antenna placement.
With that said Ford has created a much more full proof experience. Dead phone or not you can access your car with the pillar keypad and you always have the remote start passcode so technically makes it very difficult to get stranded which I appreciate.
I still carry the key card for the tesla, its such a simple/compact concept that its a no brainer and a good backup. I do like the pillar keypad option on the ford, its pretty handy (had it on my fusion I had many years ago, loved it).

I went looking for something initially, I love PAAK but there are times (raining) I don't want to stand out in the rain waiting for PAAK to connect. The Ford Key seems ridiculously large. I would gladly pay for a smaller version if they offered it. No buttons!

My workaround when I leave the store is to open up fordpass and unlock while I am in dryness. I melt in the rain :p
Agreed, had this issue a few times already, she just carries the key with her as well now to avoid issues. I also agree, doesnt need buttons or anything.

Maybe I'll grab a blank key and take it apart, see if I can isolate the components I need and create something.

She has PAAK setup but we've heard its unreliabe (and we are still on 4.2.3... long story). She was hoping for something that she can use like the bracelet that Jag has for when she goes and works out.
I've used nothing but PaaK: three years next month for the Mach E, two this summer for the Lightning. I just keep a fob with the battery out in the vehicles as a just in case.

Before I bought my car I was completely against using the phone as a key. Once I activated PaaK, I pretty much stopped carrying the physical key. I am at the point where I forgot where I put one of my keys and I don’t care since I still have the others and the phone. PaaK has rarely failed on me. Sometimes it’s slow, but I rarely fail to get into or start the car. ??

It's that moment I'm hitting the lock button on the door that I realize I don't have a fob with me. So I kinda have to twist my left front pocket towards the door of the car and it locks. I'd say with Ford the PaaK works as long as the phone is close to a front door lock. If I had to guess most of the issues with Ford PaaK would have to be the phone being close enough. Like really close enough.

One of my Volvo FOBs recently failed and I really need two. Can't wait to find out how much the new one is, considering the usual "Scandi Tax" :)

PAAK completely eliminates the possibility that I'll need to ever replace a FOB.

My MME detects my phone, I have the welcome lights, but it does not unlock like with the Fob am I doing something wrong?

Phone is correctly configured, everything is green, all optimizations are configured in android, etc...

Georgia doesn't let you supply an insurance card at all, digital or physical.

The only allowed source of proof of insurance is a database that the police have access to and all insurance companies in the state submit your data.

As the world becomes more connected that will the the way, no physical or digital cards, just the online database data.
Even better the license plate readers flag no insurance vehicles and they go straight into impound! They'll also stop the out-of-state paper license plate scammers and take those vehicles too.

My paak has been great for well over a year now. I don’t take a fob unless I leave the state.

PaaK. I’ve been using it since day one. 8 months and never once used the FOB. Once my PaaK didn’t respond, so I used the door code and Sync code created when I registered the PaaK. Pretty damn reliable IMO.

I didn't know that the Jaguar had a fancy bracelet that opened the vehicle but now that I do I kind of want one to.........I'm picturing how pretty I'd look with it on my wrist. ?
