Agree, I've been using PAAK exclusively since I got the Mach E almost 3 years ago. In the early days, it would generally work after a few attempts but now it works solidly about 98% of the time, and when it doesn't work, you can use the backup password/door keycode to start it. Even when it wasn't reliable early on, I still didn't carry a fob because the convenience was worth the occasional hassle and the backup option is always available.
I carry the FOB in a faraday bag hidden in the car, good thing I did, had to bring the car in unexpectedly to the dealer once and had to valet when I didn’t think i needed to.

having access to the FOB does make things easier.

1. I don’t trust no name Faraday bags for long-term jobs like that
2. If you leave the battery in the fob it still runs down and may be dead when you need it.

That’s why I remove the battery and carry both in separate places. You don’t even need to install the battery to start the car with the fob.

I have the battery removed and still have it in the bag so so I can hide it and have everything together. if you have to open and close that FOB too many times it does feel like it would break.

If the battery is removed why spend money on a faraday bag?

At first I didn’t take the battery out and then decided to do so in case faraday didn’t work and since I already had it figured I’d use it.
now I don’t feel as if I wasted my $12 or whatever I spent , LOL

You can use a thin piece of plastic to keep the battery from making contact just like devices w/ pull tabs to enable the batt. Even if you can't snap it back together fully, keep a rubber band around it or similar. Pull, click, ready.

One of my Volvo FOBs recently failed and I really need two. Can't wait to find out how much the new one is, considering the usual "Scandi Tax" :)

PAAK completely eliminates the possibility that I'll need to ever replace a FOB.
If you by chance bought an extended warranty for your Volvo it should be covered... (It was for mine.)

Fob will still unlock the car and allow it to start even without battery. If you put the fob close to the door pular it will unlock and inside the center console there is a small support where you can place the fob and it will allow the car to star. All without battery. I got a generic 3rd fob and had plans to strip all unnecessary components. But even for a “passive” mode key it would be too big.
It would not look pretty on a bracelet like OP wanted.

Correction- I tested again and the unlock option did not work.

Considering that there is the door keypad and the backup password, I would never need a FOB- it’s only for valet or dealership
, unless of course those fail.

To add, I wish other cars had both of those, they are nice failsafes.

2 years exclusively on PAAK with no issues.
I’ve used the backup password maybe twice.
I’ve had to drop it off at the dealership twice, and forgot to take the key with me both time. ??‍♂

There are a handful of posts over the years where the passcode would not come up, or was erased. Taking an Uber to get your keys would be ridiculous IMO, but a least 2 have had to do it.

I didn't know that the Jaguar had a fancy bracelet that opened the vehicle but now that I do I kind of want one to.........I'm picturing how pretty I'd look with it on my wrist. ?
Maybe just order a third FOB extract the electronics and embed it inside a bracelet, pretty sure it is doable.

I've had our MME about a year and a half. The first 6 months I could never get the PaaK to work consistently. Since then, it works perfectly. I no longer carry the fob. The only time I have a problem, I just pull my phone out of my pocket and the PaaK works.
