Heats not it for me. What do you mean by “used constantly”. Do you mean plugged in - even when it’s not charging?
I mean being used day in and day out to charge the car. Lots of failures.

And it’s been working fine for two years, nothing has changed in my electrical infrastructure so not sure how the charger could be uncertain as to the kw charging unless the charger itself is having an issue. And do you have links to the Ford information you reference? Thanks.
The charger has no intelligence. It has no idea how long anything takes. FordPass and the Ford cloud are doing the predicting.

Look at your charger when it says 3kW. See whether it is displaying a blue light (it is not, it's amber). Open manual, see that amber indicates you have an issue - with the charger that has been working fine for 2 years...

And regarding EVs and the extreme temperatures we’ve been experiencing. I’ve been reading about that, especially triple digits, and how it dramatically reduces range. 30% in the nineties, even more in the triples. Not as bad as extreme cold, but pretty bad. Increased charge times and battery damage on top of that.

Nice blue light.

So, if so many of us are having this problem we need to let Ford know about it. I have done that as well as complaining to my dealer and I have emails between me and the dealer. The Ford engineer I talked to yesterday says my issue is in "my" file.
Ford needs to know and do something about it.

Nice blue light.
If your charger displays a blue light at the same time that the FordPass app (refreshed) is showing you 3kW charge rate, then you have a problem with the car.

You should read elsewhere.

Charging again. First, FordPass has not updated in 30 minutes. (Yes restarted app) Second, the car itself is showing a charge rate which amounts to 4%/hour. Third, FordPass is not showing the amount of kw charging, even when charging status was being updated yesterday. Fourth, and this is the usual behavior, FordPass shows the amount of time plugged into the charger (not useful info) and not how long it’s been actually charging during the current session, which would be useful.

AFAIK, the car doesn’t display a charge rate unless that’s something added recently.

Yes I know. I’m doing the math - charge added/time.

In my opinion, the problem is with Ford Pass. I have the same issue. Ford Pass always said it's going to take days to charge to 85% (I have a 240V) but it always charges in the correct time it should take.
I've deleted and reinstalled Ford Pass a number of times which leads me to believes it's definitely a Ford Pass issue. Ford knows about this - or should - because they read this forum and should fix it.

My vehicle is charging around 4% per hour - so definitely not at the normal rate.

They start to fail after about 2 years. That’s exactly what happened to me. I called in a service ticket, and they replaced under warranty. Take some pictures of your blue/amber light on the charger and a screenshot of a couple charging logs.

Been having a similar issue except the Ford mobile charger will show blue pulsing, then eventually the amber light comes on (blue light still pulsing...so reduced charging). Then it goes off after a little while, then back on again. I've been talking with our Ford dealer for a while on this. I've had this happen on hot days and not so hot days (78 degrees in the garage). In the beginning I was testing all this myself as our dealer didnt have a way to test everything. I did get another charger and for an hour, the amber light never showed up. When I asked if they could get us another charger the dealer told me the mobile charger has several parts and we need to figure out which one is bad...at this point I gave up. They also mentioned Ford is aware of an issue and is working on a fix but it could be September. I have no idea but I feel like it's the charger. Wife charged at a 6Kw public charger and I watched the FordPass app for hours and it never got below a rate of 6Kw. Here at home, I can see the rate vary from 4kW to 5kW to 6kW and sometimes even 7kW. I think the charger gets hot and reduces the charge state. At the public charger we were getting about 20mi/hour. We've seen that at home too but it seems like this issue popped up around June 2023 or mid June 2023. We got an update before going on a trip and that morning we noticed the amber light.
Otherwise the car runs fine but we just seem to get less than 20mi/hour on the mobile charger since June. Prior to this it was fine and I dont recall an amber light.

This is not my experience in PHX in the middle of this 110+ heat wave going on 26 days straight. You can check my other posts for details.
