Hi Experts.
I have a question regarding the lane assistent. I live in Denmark and have no Blue cruise.
When I drive with the intelligent cruise control and lane assistent turned on, the car will drive in the middle of the road. Right between the white lines.
When i read the instruction manual I see that I can force the car to drive closer to one of the white lines.
I used to have a Ford Escape/Kuga Phev and in that car it worked perfect. I could just force the steering wheel closer to the right white line for a few seconds, and the car would stay there.
The text in the instruction manual is exactly the same for the Escape/Kuga and the MME but in my MME it doesn't work. I have been through all the settings several times with no luck. All the other features in the intelligent cruise control works perfect.
Does this work for you?
Anybody having any ideas how to solve it?
I really hate to drive too close to trucks driving in the opposite direction.

Text from the MME manual:

"If you drive off-center within the lane, the system sets and maintains that preferred lane position. The system provides continuous assistance steering torqueinput toward the preferred position"

Yeah, it doesn’t work in my experience either. Sometimes you have to let it bounce off the right side to kind of reset itself but it’ll still prefer the right. Oddly enough, it’s worse on my commute back home vs going to work…

Yeah, it does like to be more left. I've tried holding it in middle for over 10 seconds and still drifts back.

Better to hug left than hit that guy changing his tire on the right may be the thought behind this.

I swear it has a mind of its own. I just pull the wheel a touch if a truck is passing.

That feature worked perfectly in my car for over a year. Then the dealer attempted to install the BlueCruise software (unsuccessfully) and then that feature stopped working. :(

I have talked to many owners where that feature never worked at all, which sounds like the case with your car. This appears to be yet another issue with faulty software where it works on some cars but not others.
Sorry. :(
