Las Vegas Electrify America Issues

Hello all!

Ok so I am in Vegas for The Weeknd and I have had a hell of a time finding a charging station that is working. It appears that EA is the main option for Level 3 charging.

I tried the Cesars Palace option. Out of 6 chargers only one works. But the app says 4 are available.

Tried the Target option… same thing.

The South Outlets only had one charger down but there were 20+ cars waiting to charge.

Went a little further out to Spring Valley Walmart and 3 out of 4 with not a long wait so finally charging.

EA has to get it together and have techs on call LOCALLY because this is a MAJOR problem when so many chargers are down. They can’t say they don’t know because EVERYONE waiting called lol.

just have to do better.

Side note: The Tesla Model S dipshit who parked in the EA spot just to run in and shop but not charge… yo momma is a whole ass hoe.

Admittedly it was back in April, but I charged twice at this location below with no problems. The one at the South Premium Outlets sucked.

I was just in Reno and had the same issue. In fact, I drove from Oakland to Gardnerville NV, and charged once in Placerville at a Raley's EVgo, after stopping in Folsom and waiting for 1/2 working chargers with anohter car after the one charging. Perfect experience ith the one in Placerville.

Got to Gardnerville where the Raley's there had a dead EVgo charger. Thankfully, my client who's house I helped design, has a 240 plug and I used it twice while there. The second charge was 100% and got me to Reno (55 miles) then back to Oakland without having to charge and 50 miles left! The descent in the Sierras added range to the trip so I was elated to not have to go through the bullshit of charging on the way home.

I imagine they will step it up and satisfy us EV drivers soon because the situation is a shit show.

Wr were in Vegas this July for three days and I agree the DC Fast charging just suuuucked

The amount of EVs used as taxis in Vegas is insane and they really need to get the charging situation under control. One company has a whole fleet of MME and there’s some with self-driving IONIQ 5 as well.

I've never had any issues with the Target chargers. All 4 have always been working. Haven't used though since last December.

1 worked at each! Pretty good for EA. Hear it at EVERY charger. 2 i use regularly for road trips. 2 of 4 worked for months. They closed it to upgrade. Now 2 of 4 now work. Over a year always a line. The other 1 of 4 worked for months. Closed replace all 4. Now? 3 of 4 work. Again this way on both over 3 years. Tesla already has magic docks on 16 stations. 15 of them work. The issue is going to be most non tesla EVs take 2 spots. If I am tesla driver pull in and all full with non tesla taking 2 spots I would be pissed.
