I’m reading comments that the 10-Key Cycle only works for very specific updates related to the BlueCruise maps.
It did work for that purpose for me.
That said, I was sitting here watching updates to 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.2.2.2, 4.2.3, etc. and I was seeing nothing.

I ran the 10-Key Cycles and In 24 hours I had an update to 4.2.1. In the week and a half since then, I’ve had updates up to 4.2.4.

I guess your mileage may vary.

Aside from that, I still recommend those that are in 3.x land, take the letter I attached at the beginning, make it yours, and have the dealer service department run the TSB’s etc. that are available for your car. It should help address those modules that may be roadblockimg you from updates.

I’m pretty sure that the only time a vehicle-side parameter affects updates is if: 1) The update has already been queued for your VIN, and 2) All update parameters are met by the vehicle (LVB >80%, vehicle not running for an inhibit update, etc.) . If the update has not been queued for your VIN, there is zero that can be done to influence the delivery outside of using FDRS. ??

Yeah I wouldn't buy into the 10 key cycle thing, sounds like someone on BEV support was just confused about a process. The OTA updates are triggered by your VIN being set to get an OTA update on Ford's end, nothing your car does matters.

Here is the OTA Status Log from one of our MMEs recent OTAs.

Where can you see this?

The 10 cycles only works for gateway module updates, and it’s only necessary to do it once if you’re stuck below 4.x updates. You can also pull fuse #21 or lift the 12V cable for the same effect. Once you’ve installed 4.2.1 you don’t have to worry about doing that again, you should get the other updates when it’s your time (usually within a week or two after 4.2.1).

BlueCruise map updates will be checked every 10 key cycles but those are a separate process from OTAs.
I got 4.1.1 on Jan 18th. Nada since then. Tried the 10 cycle suggestion but no joy. Just have to wait I guess.

I have a 21 and I don't think I have ever gotten a sync update. I don't have the camera button, I don't have Alexa, I don't have the full screen android auto. I called the OTA helpdesk and they said since my bluecruise maps updated, that means my OTA is working and I just need to wait. Is that what I should do?

I am. I got 4.2.4 yesterday.
FordPass is buggy. It says that I received an update but can’t tell me which and what’s included.
I received 4.2.4 yesterday and had the same problem. But, the details magically appeared today.

By the way, I took delivery of my 2022 GT on Dec 10, 2022 and received the first Power-up on December 16th (3.5.2). I've had regular updates since that time including a map update. I've never done anything special like sitting next to a cell phone tower, restarting the car a number of times, or driving it any specified distance.

Head to the dealer, especially if you have a MY21. This is your last year of warranty and dealers may be less likely to help if they can’t charge the issue to warranty.

I'm not saying you should dance around the car while shaking a dead chicken over it; I'm just saying I do it and I am up to date on my OTAs.
Do you think the dead chicken dance will also enable the remote frunk release? ???

This maybe isn't the intent of the thread, but worth considering for some: If I could go back in time, I would refuse all updates after 3.5.3. I appear to have lost PAAK reliability and can no longer see tire pressures at a glance.

Every time the little gauge appears around the volume knob for temperature or fan speed (i.e., one or two times I month that I actually adjust these) it just reminds me of the price I paid for it, and frankly makes me wonder what the design team prioritizes for the driving experience; I don't see the ergonomic advantage of a pop up dial that requires the user to engage the original control to make it appear. I do see the marketing advantage though.

I have no interest in public wifi from any of my devices, wheeled or otherwise.

The camera button is cool, but in my case, not worth losing PAAK or a persistent tire pressure display.

Is there a rain dance for rolling back?

?‍♂

I was stuck at 3.6.2. I did the 10 key cycles last night and woke up this morning to 4.2.1. Hopefully the updates keep coming now. ?

Rumor is, that will require your first born.
